In this talk, Deb shares what happened when she decided to run FreeBSD on a modern laptop. Learn more about her journey to getting this rock-solid operating system on her laptop, and how it is far more accessible than its reputation suggests.

Presenter: Deb_Goodkin is the head of the FreeBSD Foundation & has been with them since 2005. An accomplished programmer, who has a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. She has also earned a Masters in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Santa Clara,
She has spent 20+ years working in marketing, sales, and development of data storage devices. Prior to joining the FreeBSD Foundation she worked as a firmware engineer and as an application engineer for Maxtor Corporation.
Deb is proficient in FreeBSD systems administration. She currrently runs FreeBSD 13.
