The Lisbon GenAI Community is back for our 15th meetup - and this time we're teaming up with Google Developer Group (GDG) Lisbon for the very first time.

Two communities, one evening, and three speakers diving into automation agents, on-device multimodal AI, and AI-powered code review.

🗓️ July 2nd, 2026 | 18:30 | PagerDuty, Alcântara, Lisbon
A big thank you to PagerDuty for hosting us, and to our sponsors Google and synvert xgeeks for making this evening possible.

đź“… Agenda

18:30 — Check-in & Networking

19:00 — Opening & Community Intro
Lisbon GenAI Community, GDG Lisbon & Partners

19:15 — 🎤 Talk 1: How Automation Agents are Transforming the Web
Daniel Olavio — Head of Engineering @ UBIO
In this talk, we'll explore the problem space around web automation and introduce A3, an AI agent that's reshaping how we build automations. Just as Cursor brought AI-assisted coding to developers, A3 brings that same paradigm to automation workflows — seeing websites, interacting with them, and learning from those interactions to produce durable, reusable scripts. We'll walk through how A3 works and see it in action with two real use cases: automating job board applications and building a UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) for hotel booking.

19:45 — 🎤 Talk 2: Massive OCR at the Edge: Building Privacy-First Document Pipelines with Gemma 4 & ADK
Nuno Andrade — Google / Azure / AWS Cloud Platform Expert
We will explore how to build robust, privacy-first document pipelines using the natively multimodal Gemma 4 family and the Agent Development Kit (ADK). By leveraging Gemma 4's highly optimized architecture — including the sub-1GB memory footprint of the E2B model — developers can process high-resolution documents, interpret complex charts, and extract structured data entirely offline.

20:15 — 🎤 Talk 3: Practical Workflows for AI Code Review
David Pereira — Software Architect @ CloudCockpit
AI adoption is on the rise throughout our SDLC, and so is the number of merged PRs. Speed over quality is not always a good trade-off, so code reviews remain essential. David will dive deep into adopting AI for code review using GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, sharing his team's pragmatic approach to measuring quality (signal-to-noise ratio and other metrics), plus the prompts and workflows that have worked — and the challenges along the way.

20:45 — 🍕 Pizza, Drinks & Networking
