Web Components versus frameworks has always been a bit of A Thing, with framework authors arguing that Web Components are a poor abstraction to build upon and Web platform advocates focusing on benefits around interop and less reliance on frameworks. In this talk we'll explore how Web Components can be a great foundation for frameworks if only they budged on what "component" means: and hey, maybe we don't need components as much as we thought...
