Age-Friendly AI Training Workshop on Sept 8 at the 50 Plus Show in Cork

Join us on Sept 8 to learn about Artificial Intelligence (AI), where to find it in daily life and its potential benefits and risks.

We are holding an Age-Friendly AI Training in Cork on September 8th as part of the 50 Plus Show.

Our Age-Friendly AI Training Workshop is based on the topics raised during our co-creation workshops throughout 2025, where we discussed the role of AI in daily life with older people across Ireland. These contributions have helped to shape this programme and we are delighted to present the Age-Friendly AI training material.

You do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience with AI before the event - everyone is welcome!

Take part in our Age-Friendly AI training workshop at the Radisson Blu Hotel as part of the 50 Plus Show on September 8th, from 11am to 12.30pm. You will also get the chance to try out our AI technology after the workshop, including the updated version of "The Spirit of Radio" and the "Art or AI?" exhibition.

AI is a technology designed to do tasks that usually need human thinking, like looking for patterns or making decisions. Our conversations will revolve around examples of Artificial Intelligence, what to look out for when using it and how to spot AI-generated images.

The event provides a welcoming space for you to learn about Artificial Intelligence and try out AI technology firsthand.
