AI Career Walk #2: Explore a Career in Data Engineering & AI
About this event
Walk, talk, and get an inside look at how Python, data engineering, and GenAI come together in real-world client projects at Devoteam Datadr
A morning of meaningful conversations, new connections, and a look inside how data and AI solutions are built.
Curious about what data engineering and AI work looks like beyond the classroom?
Join Connected Women in AI’s Young Talent Committee and Devoteam Datadriven for the second AI Career Walk, this time taking a closer look at the intersection of data engineering, Python, and AI.
We’ll start the morning with a short Walk & Talk, using Conversation Cards to spark conversations about careers, technology, ambitions, and what it is like to start building a career in data and AI.
Back at Devoteam Datadriven, we’ll have breakfast before getting an inside look at how their teams work with data engineering and AI in practice.
Through real-world client cases, Devoteam Datadriven will take us from Python and SQL development to modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks and Microsoft Fabric - and into the growing use of GenAI models such as Claude to build smart, scalable solutions.
But the morning is not only about the technology. You’ll also hear what the day-to-day life of a consultant looks like, how technical skills are used to solve real client problems, and what different early-career paths within data and AI can look like.
You’ll also get the opportunity to meet some of the women working with data engineering and AI at Devoteam Datadriven and hear about their own experiences entering and navigating the field.
We’ll finish with Q&A and informal networking.
Bring your curiosity - and your technical questions.

Who is it for?
This Career Walk is designed especially for master’s students and y********oung professionals with up to five years of experience who are interested in building a career within data engineering, AI or software engineering.
It will be particularly relevant if you already have experience with or a strong interest in Python, SQL, data engineering, software development or related technical fields and are curious about how those skills translate into real-world AI and data projects.
You do not need to already know exactly where you want your career to go. If you enjoy building with technology and want a closer look at the people, projects, and career paths behind modern data and AI solutions, this morning is for you.
The AI Career Walk initiative has a particular focus on creating an inclusive community for young women, while the event is open to all genders and backgrounds.
About AI Career Walks
AI Career Walks is an initiative by the Connected Women in AI Young Talent Committee, created to make AI-related careers more tangible and accessible to the next generation.
Rather than traditional networking, we bring together young talent, role models and companies in an informal morning format built around movement, conversation and real insight into working with AI. The aim is simple: that you leave with new connections, new perspectives and at least one idea for your own next step. AI Career Walks
A big thank you to Devoteam Datadriven for partnering with us on AI Career Walk #2 and welcoming the next generation of data and AI talent into their office.
Places are limited. If you register and can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
AI Career Walks is supported by Tuborgfondet, which works to strengthen young people's dreams, courage, and ability to act.
With this support, we can give more young people the confidence, connections, and inspiration to explore careers in AI and technology, regardless of their educational or professional background.
A big thank you to Tuborgfondet for helping us turn young people's curiosity into new possibilities.
