The evening will consist of Airflow-specific presentations followed by networking. We can't wait to see you there!

PRESENTATIONS

Presentation #1: Introducing the Common AI Provider for Apache Airflow

Building production-ready AI pipelines takes more than an API call. It takes resilience, validation, observability, and human oversight. In this session, Andrei Avramescu, Manager, Sales Engineering at Astronomer, introduces the new apache-airflow-providers-common-ai package, which brings AI-native operators and agents directly into your Airflow DAGs. Learn how to move from a simple LLM call to a fully orchestrated, production-grade AI pipeline, complete with toolsets, human-in-the-loop review, and durable execution.

Presentation #2: Running Airflow the SRE-Friendly Way: Kubernetes, Remote Execution, and Astronomer

This talk describes how we run Airflow in a way that satisfies our SRE team’s requirements while still leveraging Airflow 2 and Astronomer features. We will look at how remote executors and Kubernetes-native infrastructure allow us to keep core execution workloads inside our own Kubernetes environment, while still benefiting from Airflow’s orchestration model and Astronomer’s platform capabilities.
The session will focus on architecture, operational trade-offs, reliability, security boundaries, and lessons learned from making Airflow production-ready in an SRE-driven organization.

Presentation #3: From Legacy Scheduler to Apache Airflow: A Real-World Migration Story

  • Speaker: Henry Houet

Many organizations are running business-critical workflows on aging or unsupported scheduling tools. In this session, I'll walk through a real migration project where we replaced a legacy scheduler (Superview) with Apache Airflow — covering the technical approach, lessons learned, and the business impact for our client. A practical talk for anyone facing a similar challenge or evaluating Airflow as a replacement for an existing tool.
