AmsterdamPHP Monthly Meeting May 2026
About this event
It’s time for another AmsterdamPHP meetup! 🎉 With the weather in Amsterdam on our side, we’re excited to gather once again at a truly special spot, hosted by the fantastic team at Studocu , who have sponsored us multiple times. This time, we’ll be enjoying their unique garden setting alongside their canal-side office, making it a particularly special edition of our meetup.
Join us for an evening of great talks, cold drinks, and catching up with the local PHP community. Whether you're here for the technical deep dives or the networking, it’s going to be a fantastic night.

Challenging the Status Quode
Every codebase has a set of rules (implicit or explicit) that shape how multiple developers from different backgrounds contribute to the same software. From placing a new file to naming a method, these rules standardise decisions so they don’t feel like decisions anymore and become a collective intuition that makes every contributor speak a shared language they can all understand.
This talk will give those rules a name, in the hope that you can then identify them and consciously shape them.
Location Studocu / Keizersgracht 424, 1016 GC Amsterdam
