About this event

Discover how game dev skills can be used in other industries & what employers want! Plus: how game studios can fund projects via consulting.

Game development skills are highly valuable also outside of games! Join us for an event where we explore the possibilities of working outside of the games industry, we will dive into two key areas:

  • For individuals: Discover what non-game employers are looking for and how your skills translate to roles outside of games
  • For companies: Learn how your game company can offer consulting services to non-game industries to generate revenue and fund your own game projects

This event is designed for game developers interested in utilizing their skills in game adjacent industries, and game companies curios to explore how non-game consultancy can be part of funding their companies.

This event marks the launch of Game+Tech, an initiative by OpenTech and Game Habitat. It’s the first in a series of activities exploring cross-industry collaboration between game development and tech. Over the course of the initiative, we will host workshops and networking events, and provide opportunities for consultancy and prototype development.
