While our regular JUG meetups take place locally in German or English, these online sessions are always held in English so developers from around the world can join.

The session will be streamed live on YouTube and will also be available as a recording afterwards. No registration beyond Meetup is required.

AI can generate code in seconds. But what separates a useful AI assistant from a productive engineering teammate?

In this live session, we'll explore a practical workflow for AI enhanced software development. During the first hour, we'll walk through the AI Coding Guide and discuss how to choose the right tools, provide long term context, establish reusable workflows, and automate quality assurance.
We'll focus on building engineering systems instead of writing better prompts.
In the second hour, we'll put these ideas into practice by creating a minimal Java project from scratch. Rather than building a feature rich application, we'll create an AI ready development environment with project instructions, reusable AI skills, development tools, and a CI/CD pipeline that the AI can actively use.

The goal is to demonstrate how to transform a simple Java repository into a small software factory where AI can reliably contribute, verify its own work, and continuously improve the project.
