Build with Stripe in one hour

Stripe Lisbon community meetup

🚀 Build with Stripe in an Hour — Lisbon

The very first Stripe Community event is coming to Lisbon!

Join us on 22 October at The NEST for a practical, hands-on session with Marcelo Ventura, Founder of imigrei.pt, and discover how to build and launch payment flows with Stripe.

💳 Build with Stripe in an Hour

How do you choose the right payment setup for your product? How can you start accepting payments quickly without overcomplicating your tech stack?

Marcelo will walk us through two real-world payment flows built by a solo developer, sharing practical lessons from live products — from choosing the right Stripe tools to getting payments up and running.

What we'll cover

• Payment Links vs. Checkout vs. custom integrations — choosing the right approach for your product
• One-time payments and subscriptions — understanding the options
• Real-world case study: Prep Docs (imigrei.pt) — payments for AI-powered document review
• Real-world case study: applb.pt — memberships with monthly and annual plans
• Customer Portal and self-service — giving customers control over their subscriptions
• Lessons learned — common mistakes and what to do differently from day one

🎯 What you'll take away

You'll leave with a clearer understanding of which Stripe setup fits your product, how to approach one-time and recurring payments, and how to get a working payment flow live quickly.

Whether you're building your first product, launching a startup, or looking to improve an existing payment experience, this session will give you practical insights you can put to work straight away.
