Building an acoustic camera with egui and embassy

An acoustic camera makes sound visible: as an overlay on an ordinary camera image, you can see where a noise is coming from. I wanted to build one of these myself.
This talk tells the story of the paths and detours it took before everything finally worked and of the multi-CPU architecture that came out of it along the way.
