Building StarMapper MCP App with Skybridge

About this event

StarMapper maps the stargazers of any GitHub repo on an interactive world map to give you details on where the community actually lives, who the influential stargazers are, and an organic score that sniffs out suspicious star patterns. It's free, open source, and already live on the web.

In this session, we make it available on Claude and ChatGPT by building the MCP App version!

Florian Bruniaux and Frédéric Barthelet take the existing StarMapper web app and turn it into an MCP app with Skybridge.

What we'll cover:

  • A quick primer on MCP and MCP Apps
  • Florian walks through StarMapper: how it works, what it's built on, the organic score
  • Building the MCP app with Skybridge, using our packaged skills
  • Shipping it to production on Alpic

Florian is a Paris dev with 13+ years in, now full-time on Claude Code and AI as dev infrastructure. He maintains the Claude Code Ultimate Guide (~5k stars, cc.bruniaux.com) and is core team on RTK, a Claude Code token optimizer with 60k+ stars. Everything open source.

Frédéric is the cofounder and CTO of Alpic and an active contributor to serverless and MCP technologies. A top-10 contributor to the MCP TypeScript SDK, he is building Alpic’s MCP cloud platform from the ground up and has released several open-source tools in the ecosystem, including an MCP evaluation framework and a starter kit for the ChatGPT Apps SDK.
