Product Unleashed presents - design + AI Progression Sessions Part 1

When Greg met Sakky!

In the lead-up to design + AI summit on 25 September presented by Product Unleashed, we’re bringing the community together online for an evening of practical insight, fresh thinking and honest conversation about where design is heading next.

This is part of our design + AI progression sessions: an online series designed to help designers, product people, researchers and leaders move beyond the hype and learn from practitioners who are already using AI to reshape how they work.

For this session, we’ll be joined by two brilliant guests exploring two very different but deeply connected frontiers: agentic design and ship-first product design.
Expect sharp talks, practical examples, a short interval, and a live Q&A with both speakers.
The session will be recorded and shared with registered attendees.

Speaker 1: Greg Aper - Agents of Design

Most AI agents today are built around automating tasks. Greg’s work asks a bigger question: what happens when we design agents around people, creativity and human potential?

In this session, Greg will take us into the world of human-centred agent design, exploring how designers can move beyond simple automation and start shaping more personalised, adaptive and design-centric AI ecosystems.
You’ll get a look at agent behaviour, AI psycholinguistics, personalised AI calibration, multi-agent workflows and what it takes to build high-performance agentic systems for creative work.

This is a session for anyone curious about the next evolution of design practice, where the designer is not replaced by the agent, but amplified by it.

Expect to learn about:

  • Human-centred agent design
  • Multi-agent workflows for design
  • AI calibration and agent behaviour
  • Design-centric AI ecosystems
  • How Claude and Claude Code can support high-performance creative workflows

Greg Aper is a globally recognised design + AI expert helping designers and teams build more human-centred, high-performance agentic workflows.

Speaker 2: Sakky B — Ship first, design later

The best designers aren’t just mapping flows anymore. They’re building, shipping and learning from real working products.

Sakky Baral is a product designer with deep experience across complex SaaS platforms, AI experimentation and product-building from scratch. Most recently, he led Product Design at Autone, helping the company scale from early team to 40+ customers and £4m ARR.

In this session, Sakky will share what he’s learned from building full-stack apps with AI and coding agents, including solo projects like HinduPray. He’ll unpack what changes when designers get closer to the code, from authentication and payments to APIs, databases, schema changes and live deployments.

This is a practical, honest look at how AI is blurring the lines between product, design and engineering, and why a ship-first mindset can make designers sharper, faster and more commercially aware.

Expect to learn about:

  • Building working products before perfecting giant Figma flows
  • Using coding agents to move from idea to live product faster
  • What designers need to understand about APIs, databases and technical trade-offs
  • Why shipping changes how you think, design and make decisions

Sakky B is a product designer, builder and AI experimenter helping designers move from Figma-first thinking to ship-first product creation.

Event format

This is a live online session with two speakers, a short interval and a shared Q&A.
Format:
