Digital Meetup: Sound Systems at the V&A
About this event
If you're interested in physical computing, creative electronics, and building interactive experiences with sound, you might enjoy this free event we're organising at the V&A on 17 July.
Please note that this is a drop in event. Registering here helps us estimate numbers, but it does not guarantee a place in individual activities, which will be available on a first come, first served basis throughout the evening.
This meetup brings together artists and creative technologists exploring physical computing, electronic textiles and livecoding.
While this isn't an Arduino focused meetup, several of the activities explore physical computing through sound, including electronic textiles, capacitive touch sensing, interactive musical instruments and creative coding.
The programme includes:
• Building touch responsive instruments with Tom Fox using the new SPOKE board.
• Making soft circuits and exploring Lia Mice's textile synthesiser Soft Cymatics.
• Learning visual livecoding with Mike Cook using Magpie.
• Creating algorithmic music with Nadezhda Khalid using Strudel, followed by an informal livecoding jam.
There will also be an informal space for Show and Tell if you'd like to share a project you're working on, especially anything related to sound, music or interactive technology.

It would be great to see a few members of the London Arduino community there.
