The Speaker: Cody Candee from Bounce

From a simple luggage storage experiment to serving 4,000+ cities and raising $30M+, Cody Candee’s journey with Bounce is a masterclass in turning an everyday problem into a global business. While working as a product manager at Intuit, a simple interaction with a colleague made Cody realize how often travelers are forced to plan their day around their luggage. So, in 2019, he launched Bounce, a luggage storage app with a simple website and a small Google Ads test. Within minutes, the first customer came through, sending Cody and his team across New York on Citi Bikes to pick up and drop off luggage by hand.

Today, Bounce is the leading luggage storage app, with 35,000 locations worldwide and a team of 116 people. It has stored tens of millions of bags and raised $30M+ from investors including Andreessen Horowitz and General Catalyst. The company is now expanding into luggage delivery, with the service already live in Japan and expanding across Europe.

Join us for a conversation with Cody as he shares how a simple experiment became a global travel company, how to build through uncertainty, and what it takes to scale without losing sight of the customer experience.
