Free AI Session for Older Beginners
About this event
Curious about AI but not sure where to start? Come along to a relaxed local evening where we'll show you, in plain English, how free AI tools can help with everyday life.
Free. No device required. Drop-ins welcome. Bring a phone or laptop if you like, but there's nothing to set up and nothing you need to do on the night. Just sit back, watch and ask questions. You'll go home with ideas to try in your own time.
What we'll show you
Spot scams and suspicious messages. How to check a dodgy email, text or WhatsApp message. We'll also cover two common scams: people asking for a verification code, and people asking to access your phone or computer remotely.
Get helpful answers to everyday questions. Make sense of a confusing letter, look something up or learn something new.
Write, plan, compare and solve problems. Write an email, plan a trip, compare options or talk through a tricky decision.
Everyone welcome
You don't need any experience, and there's no jargon. Coming on your own is absolutely fine, and you're welcome to bring a friend or relative.
Food and drinks are available to buy from Bricks & Brews, so arrive a little early if you'd like to grab something. Buying anything is entirely optional.
We're planning to run these sessions every couple of months, so there'll be chances to come back and keep learning.
Know someone who worries about scam messages or wants to understand AI? Send them this.
