H91 Maker Space: Laser Engraving Workshop

Get hands-on with laser engraving and create cool custom designs at H91 Maker Space’s fun workshop!

Join Us at H91 Maker Space's first workshop!

We are hosting out first workshop, an introduction to laser engraving, on the 8th of August. Hosted by our new friend, William Davis, we'll be learning how to use a laser engraver (Xtool F1) including a hands on session to make some items to bring home!

In this workshop, you'll learn how to:

• Choose materials for laser cutting/engraving.
• Learn the basics of safe operation of the laser, including all safety protocols and procedures.
• Learn to use the X tool software for setting up a laser job.
• Learn the advantages and disadvantages of CO2 versus fiber or diode laser engraving.
• Generate business ideas based on laser, cutting and engraving.
• See examples of previous projects in art to inspire your imagination.

Each class participant will walk away with a small personalized project, and the confidence to explore laser cutting further.

The class will be 100% free to attend, but spaces will be tightly limited. If you reserve a space but can no longer attend, be sure to cancel your reservation so we can pass the space on to someone else.
