On 17 September, HCD Barcelona records the first live episode of its new series on artificial intelligence, on the One Parc Central rooftop, at sunset, in front of a small audience. The taping is in English, and it ends with a live Q&A with the room.

The guest is Stephany Oliveros. She is the founder of Lyra AI, a Barcelona-built platform that uses AI to close the gender gap at work. Her argument is direct: the algorithms deciding more and more of our lives are not neutral. Someone writes their rules, in someone's interest, and most of us never get to see them.

The host is Daria Gavrilova, a journalist who has spent more than a decade covering Barcelona from the inside, and who came to the city from abroad herself. HCD Barcelona is her podcast about the forces changing Barcelona: artificial intelligence, economy and housing, immigration, and Catalan identity.
