How AI Sees the World: Explainable AI for Vision Transformers
About this event
Dear BUILD IT CLUB Community,
We are excited to share a quick update about our next BUILD IT CLUB session, taking place on 12 June 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Dworska 1.
For this session, we are pleased to welcome Professor Bartosz Zieliński and Adam Wróbel, who will be presenting together on the topic:
Explainable AI in the Era of Vision Transformers: Understanding Modern Deep Learning Models
The talk will focus on Explainable AI (XAI) in the era of Vision Transformers (ViTs). Bartosz and Adam will introduce the core concepts of XAI and highlight the challenges of explaining transformer-based vision models. They will also present their recent work, selected as a Spotlight paper at the International Conference on Machine Learning: “DAVE: Distribution-aware Attribution via ViT Gradient Decomposition”, where they propose a novel approach for interpreting Vision Transformers through gradient decomposition and distribution-aware attribution analysis.
We are also happy to share that Mohcene Mouad Lariane will join us as a third speaker with a presentation titled:
AI is the New Nestlé
This session will be a great opportunity to explore how AI is evolving, how modern deep learning models can be better understood, and how different perspectives can help us think more critically about the future of technology.
