About this event

WHAT CAN I EXPECT? 🤖
Every system has a password. Most of them are terrible, and we're going to prove it.

This meetup is all about password attacks, one of the most satisfying skills in any pentester's arsenal. We'll walk through how attackers crack hashes, build wordlists, spray credentials, and turn a single leaked password into a full compromise.

After the presentation, we'll put it all into practice on a Hack The Box machine. We'll see firsthand how weak credentials open the door, and how a well-crafted attack chain takes us from nothing to owned.

ARE YOU A BEGINNER? 👋
We all begin somewhere, and you don’t have to do it alone. Come along, meet a welcoming community, learn by doing, and start your journey with people who are happy to help and share what they know.

WHAT DO I NEED? 💾
A computer, an internet connection, and some electricity. You will also need a virtual machine, but don’t worry, the setup steps and links are just below. Please create a Hack The Box account before the session, and you’ll be ready to go.

VIRTUAL MACHINE SETUP 💻
We recommend setting up your virtual machine before the meetup so we can spend more time working on the dedicated machines together. If possible, please follow the instruction video below in advance. We are happy to help with setup on the day, but we ask that you try to download the required software and operating system beforehand.
