About this event

Ever tried vibe coding your own PowerPoint, Figma, or presentation tool? Or maybe you hate your current tool and want to build the one that works your way?

At this event, Cavan Judge, our Creative Technologist and 3D Design Lead, shares the story of how he fully vibe coded his own presentation software using Claude and Codex.

Hosted by Joseph Wan Ho Fung, a multidisciplinary designer dedicated to crafting new experiences for culture, art, and design through emerging technologies.

The plan:

  • The problem that started it all — why Cavan ditched existing tools and decided to build his own
  • Choosing your AI co-pilot — using Codex and Claude together, and when to reach for each
  • From zero to functional — building core features fast: animations, drawing tools, video editing & transitions
  • Leveling up the craft — keyframes, comps, and making things feel polished
  • Making it a real tool — web integration, asset libraries, and archiving systems
  • The fun stuff — dynamic slide animations and live number/chart animations
  • The messy truth — bugs, file formats, and what breaks when you vibe code something this complex
  • Live Q&A

This event will be recorded and shared on YouTube afterward (fingers crossed we remember to upload it, so better is to join online).

Vibe Coding Collective is a global community helping anyone turn ideas into working software with AI. We host relaxed social coding jams in bars, cafés, and maker spaces. Whether you're a developer or have never written a line of code, you'll fit right in!
