Software engineering has changed dramatically in the last 12 months with the increased quality and adoption of agentic development. This brings a whole load of problems, some new and some not so new.

You may find that your role has changed from writing code to just reviewing and accepting responsibility for it.

In this session we will look at the new challenges that have arisen through AI adoption and how craftsmanship principles can be used to mitigate these challenges and embrace the positive side of agentic development.

We will run through a simple kata using AI tooling and explore how you can remain in control of the process and hopefully avoid making a mess.

Food and drinks will be provided, with vegetarian and vegan options available. All you need to do is bring a machine if you'd like to code along.
