On July 18, robots take over TagusPark! The Lisbon Scrimmage 2026 is the first FIRST*****®***** Tech Challenge event ever held in Portugal: 14 teams from 7 countries, one competition field, live scoring, live streaming, and a public audience. Everyone in the stands becomes part of FIRST history in Portugal.

eSports meets STEM

FIRST Tech Challenge is the world's largest student robotics competition for ages 12 to 18, with more than 679,000 students across 110 countries. Students design, build, and program their own robots, then compete in 2v2 alliance matches. Each match opens with the robots driving themselves. Then the drivers grab the controls and the noise begins. This season's game is DECODE presented by RTX.

A full day of matches

Matches run through the day. Drop in whenever you want and feel the vibe. At 16:30 comes the highlight of the event when team captains form their alliances partners in front of the crowd and the playoffs start. Then double-elimination playoffs, the finals, and the award ceremony. Between matches, walk the pits and watch teams repair and re-tune their robots against the clock.

Entry is free. If you're a student who likes building things, this is your world. If you're a parent, come see what students your kids' age can do with a season and a box of parts. If you're a teacher or school leader, seeing FTC live is the fastest way to understand what your students could be doing next season. Portugal has only two FTC teams today. The venue

TagusPark, Oeiras: 20 minutes from Lisbon city centre, in one of Portugal's leading science and technology parks. Easy access from Lisbon Airport, the A5 motorway, and the Cascais train line. Doors open to the public at 10:30.
