Make Your Own Emblem | Laser Art Workshop

Bring a symbol that means something to you and turn it into a layered wooden piece, painted and assembled by hand.

Bring a symbol that means something to you and turn it into something you can make with your hands.

It could be the crest of your favourite football, rugby or GAA team, your family crest, a club emblem, a badge or simply a symbol you like.

Before the workshop, send us an image of what you would like to make. We’ll prepare the design and laser cut all the wooden pieces in our studio, so when you arrive everything is ready for you.

Then it’s your turn.

You’ll choose your colours, paint the different pieces and put everything together layer by layer.

While we make, we’ll also show you how we took your image and turned it into something physical using digital design and laser cutting.

You don’t need to know anything about laser cutting or design before coming. We prepare the technical part so you can enjoy making the piece.

If you’re not sure what you want to make, we’ll also have some designs in the studio for you to choose from.

All materials, paints and tools are included.

At the end, you’ll take home your own wooden emblem, made by you and ready to hang, display or give to someone.

Before you come

Send us your image or reference at least 48 hours before the workshop, so we have enough time to prepare your pieces.

Technē Makers is a creative practice and digital fabrication studio in Dublin.

Our workshops are a chance to spend some time making with your hands, explore materials, try something new and discover different ways of turning ideas into physical things.

Technology is part of the process, but it’s only a tool.
