Talk 1 - Exposing MCP servers at the edge via MQTT using IoT Core - Level 200 (30min)

• Description: What does it take to securely expose MCP servers to and from the edge? In this session, we’ll go beyond the typical “plug-and-play” approach and explore how MCP works under the hood. You’ll learn how to connect MCP servers via MQTT using AWS IoT Core, which hosting options AWS offers for scalable deployments, and what to consider when it comes to security and best practices in distributed environments.
• Speaker: Tim Schäfer - Solutions Architect with 5+ years of customer-facing, post-sales experience across cloud, security, and distributed systems. Proven ability to design, prototype, and scale cloud-native solutions from concept to production, with a growing focus on AI and data engineering.
