[📍 Onsite] Designing for Joy, Attention, and Interruption

Enterprise software often focuses on efficiency, workflows, and getting the job done. But people do not stop being people just because they use B2B tools. They still feel frustration, relief, flow, interruption, motivation, overload - and sometimes even joy.

In our June meetup, we'll explore UX through the lens of psychology and cognitive science from two angles:

The evening will open with Ani Szammer (UI/UX Designer & UX Writer @ DCCS) on "Emotional Design in B2B: The $0 Feature Nobody's Building." Enterprise software has mastered functional. It's completely forgotten joyful. Ani will explore why this might be one of the biggest missed opportunities in B2B - and how we could start fixing it. Her session will be part talk, part open discussion.

In the second talk, Artun Sepken (Student - MA Interaction Design @ FH JOANNEUM) will present "Designing for the Interrupted: Notes on Attention and Adaptive Interfaces." He will share what he has been researching over the past year on attention, flow, and interruption in digital systems - and why our devices tend to treat every moment as equally interruptible when our minds don't work that way.

We will also raffle one ticket for uxcon Vienna during the evening! 🎟️
