Open vSwitch and OVN 2026 Fall Conference

The annual event for OVS, OVN, and ecosystem projects. Discuss ongoing work, overcome challenges, and plan what’s next.

Join us for the 12th Annual Open vSwitch & Open Virtual Network Conference!

The Open vSwitch (OVS) project, a Linux Foundation Collaborative Project, will host its 12th annual conference focused on Open vSwitch, OVN, and related ecosystem projects on November 3–4, 2026.

This is a 100% community-driven event, organized by and for the developers, maintainers, network engineers, and open-source contributors who build, maintain, and deploy the OVS and OVN ecosystems.

Hybrid Event Experience

This year’s conference is a fully hybrid event designed to bring together our global community, whether attending in person or joining remotely from around the world.

• Live Presentations: Talks will be presented live during the conference and given once.
• Interactive Discussion: We are utilizing an online platform featuring real-time text discussion and live Q&A during each presentation.
• Dedicated Q&A & Breakout Time: Following every talk, time is specifically reserved for deeper technical discussion with the speakers, conducted via live audio/video, text chat, and face-to-face with on-site presenters.

In-Person Location

For those attending in person, the conference will be held at:

Bildungscampus

Heilbronn, Germany

Sponsorship Opportunities

As a community-driven event, support from sponsor organizations helps keep conference registration accessible and supports community engagement across the software-defined networking ecosystem.

• Get in Touch: For sponsorship inquiries, custom packages, or questions, contact the organizing team at ovscon@openvswitch.org.

Who Should Attend?

Developers, maintainers, infrastructure architects, and engineers working on software-defined networking (SDN), network virtualization, eBPF, DPDK, and Kubernetes networking (such as ovn-kubernetes).

Whether you are sharing ongoing work, exploring production challenges, or planning future roadmap goals, engage with the community to shape what’s next for OVS and OVN.
