About this event

AI regulation is now a business decision. Join us in Helsingborg on 19 November to explore whether it's enough for the AI that's coming.

OpenTech Talks****: Will the AI Act be Enough?****

The EU's AI regulations are now fully in force - yet AI development hasn't slowed down to wait for the rules to catch up. Together, we want to explore the question: will the regulations we've built be enough for the AI that's on its way in?

As agent-based AI systems move into production - acting on their own, connecting systems and making decisions - organisations face a question that can no longer be deferred: what happens when the rules we've written for yesterday's technology meet the autonomy of tomorrow's?

At this OpenTech Talks, we bring together perspectives on what AI governance means in practice, where the AI Act and NIS2 overlap, and what your organisation can do about it today.

Meet our speakers:

  • Acke Salem, Chairman of the Board at Edument/Edument Tech
Acke brings a broader perspective than legislation alone, exploring governance, accountability and transparency. How organisations need to relate to the AI Act and NIS2 - before tying it together with the technical reality. What happens when governance and regulation actually have to be translated into code, architecture and organisation?
  • Rolf Bäck, Founder and CEO of Copyl AB
Rolf goes deeper into the technical reality: what agent-based AI systems actually do in production today, why rules written for static models are hard to apply, and how to build control into the system itself. Traceability, approval steps, permissions and logs - which is exactly where the AI Act and NIS2 meet within the same organisation.
