The SAE Section DACH e.V. continues its 2026 lecture series with a MeetUp in Stuttgart on a highly exciting topic in the automotive industry - and beyond: How Virtualization will change the Development and Testing of complex Automotive Software Systems. The technology is advancing with tremendous speed – and will be a game changer. It is about who will benefit from it – and who will be out of the game.
Our host Vector Informatik GmbH is a global technology partner enabling advanced embedded and connected systems for safety-critical industries through integrated tools, cloud services, software factory capabilities and expert services. Christian Bluthardt and Rakshith Amarnath will be the speakers of this MeetUp. Both gained extensive expertise in the field of embedded software Development and Testing and Virtualization in particular. They will illustrate how virtualization can be used to accelerate development cycles and what success factors how to be considered.
In the first presentation Christian Bluthardt will provide insights about the state-of-the-art virtualization of ECUs and how to adopt testing strategies. In particular, he will address the following topics:
- How to create the basis for modeling virtual ECUs?
- What new perspectives for testing and the entire development process result from this?
- How can AI support validation workflows? And where does classical automation remain the better choice?
- What efficiency potentials can be tapped?
In the second presentation, Rakshith Amarnath will illustrate how the pre-integrated, high-performance foundation Alloy Kore lets OEMs and Tier1s spend less time on infrastructure and more time on differentiation. In this presentation, he will cover the following aspects.
- What is Alloy Kore?
- Why it simplifies software integration and complexity?
- How Alloy Kore complements existing middleware and application layers?
- How Alloy Kore can be extended to a specific domain like automotive, robotics etc. with domain-specific distribution?
About SAE MeetUps
SAE MeetUps are an open format for discussing technical and organizational topics of interest in the Automotive and Aviation Industry. Meet-ups aim at linking experts and interested peers from different industries in an open-minded and constructive surrounding. SAE and its DACH Section offer different MeetUps throughout the year. Feel free to contact our Section Officers for the scheduled events or register for our newsletter under info@saedach.org. We would like to welcome you to one of our MeetUps, soon!
