Ship your first MCP App in one evening (Hack Night with pizza + prizes)
About this event
A hands-on hack night for builders. Some of you have already shipped MCP servers. Others have only been reading the spec on the train home. Either way, this is the right place for you.
Most AI tools live inside one app at a time. MCP Apps work differently. You build a tool once and it shows up across every assistant that supports the protocol. The spec recently became an official extension of MCP, the design space is wide open, and almost nobody outside a handful of teams has shipped one yet.
One evening with us is enough to change that. You'll get Alpic's open-source Skybridge framework running on your laptop, ship a working MCP App in ninety minutes alongside the people who built the framework, and walk out with something you can keep developing. Plus a shot at the prize pool below.
The theme for the build is an everyday "at work" problem. The kind of friction anyone who's worked inside a company knows.
You'll walk away with
- A working MCP App you built yourself, running on Alpic's infrastructure. Small enough to finish in ninety minutes, concrete enough to show you what the whole concept looks like end to end. Yours to keep developing after the night.
- Hands-on time with Skybridge and the Alpic team next to you while you build. By the end you'll know how to start your next MCP App from a blank folder, where to look when things break, and how to ship without us.
- A spot in the weekend judging round, with time to refine your build before final submission at 23:59 on Sunday 31 May, and a shot at the prizes below.
Who this is for
Builders. Solo entries are welcome, and teams of up to five can enter together. You should be comfortable writing code (by yourself or with an agent), but you don't need prior MCP experience. That's what the technical deep dive is for.

Where and when
Thursday, 28 May 2026 at Mindspace Krausenstraße in Berlin. Registration is required and approval from the organisers is needed to confirm a spot.
Why this matters
Every wave of platform shift creates a short window where the people who build first set the patterns that everyone else adopts later. MCP Apps sit at that edge right now. Now you get to be there too.
Berlin has always been one of Europe's most generous cities for creative technical work, and Mindspace Krausenstraße is a fitting home for a night like this. The builders who show up will be part of shaping what MCP Apps look like at this early stage.
