About this event
About
Join us this evening to learn about discovering and interacting with the hidden world of (radio) signals. Our speakers will show you how to detect, capture, analyse, manipulate and transmit radio frequency signals for fun as well as in professional settings.
Agenda
- 15’: Welcome note (Urs/Reto and SCS)
- 30’: Introduction of SDR and how to use it to build a mobile phone direction finder. The presentation is about a proof of concept that showed the feasibility of using OpenBTS to locate missing persons using SDR. Presentation in German. (Christian Bach)
- 40’: Implementation of a GNU Radio based SDR sniffer for the Wi-SUN protocol and integration with Wireshark. The gr-wisun project is used as an example for how a practical implementation for a complex protocol is possible with GNU Radio (and why it’s relatively straightforward). Presentation in English. (Andreas Müller)
Presentations start at 19:00. Afterwards we’ll have plenty of time to discuss and socialize.
