About this event

We're back with a new AI workshop!

This time, we take a fresh look at the hot topic of Harness Engineering.

Our bet:

  1. You've heard this term before,
  2. You use agent harnesses daily, maybe without knowing,
  3. You've never tried to be a harness.

To clarify:

Every LLM needs a harness before it can work for you as an agent. Harnesses can be very simple, or very complicated. Developing them can be a lot of fun, while learning about them can help you get the best out of your own tools.

Instead of lengthy technical explanations or difficult coding exercises, we will experience what this means: we will assemble a working coding agent by combining an LLM with a team of humans acting as its harness: you.

The goal is to give the less experienced a fun introduction, and the more experienced a fresh perspective. No expertise required.

This is for you if...

  1. You enjoy learning by doing with others,
  2. You're intrigued by the machinery powering your AI agents,
  3. You are new to the topic and eager to learn, or experienced and eager to share.

Agenda:

  • 18:00 – 18:15 Registration
  • 18:15 – 20:00 Workshop
  • 20:00 – 21:00 Discussion over pizza and drinks

Bio:

The workshop will be led by Michal Szpakowski.
Michal has racked up 15+ years in enterprise engineering with Java and Python, recently specialized in building AI agents for global financial institutions. When not at the office, you might find him hacking Linux machines or exploring the night skies with his telescope.
