What is it?

Join us in Dundee at Water’s Edge to connect with founders and members of the local tech community. Come for drinks and nibbles, networking and build connections across the region!

What can I expect?

Sponsored by Cooper Parry in May, Techscaler Dundee & Tay Cities Tech Meetup is a relaxed, informal event for anyone interested in connecting with people from across the tech ecosystem. We keep the agenda loose, with presentations from the community and space to meet new people and catch up with familiar faces.

Each month we have a chance for you to hear directly from Techscaler founders and partners about what they’re building and opportunities across the ecosystem.

In May, join us to:

• Meet the Techscaler team and see the new Techscaler Dundee Hub Office at Water's Edge
• Find out about the entreprenuerial support for Digital Technology businesses within the region
• Hear from Professor Gregor White about the newly announced £20m Local Innovation Partnership Funding for the city, which Abertay University is leading on
• Hear from the inaugural cohort of businesses on Techscalers 6-month Entreprenurial programme (Cohort 1 is comprised of 5 high growth potential businesses from the Games sector)

You don’t need a background in tech to join us; we welcome anyone curious about meeting new people and learning more about the community.

Where and when is this taking place?

Techscaler Dundee & Tay Cities Tech Meetup takes place every second Thursday of each month with some seasonal breaks.

Please feel free to drop in at any time between 16:00 and 18:00 at Water’s Edge Dundee, DD1 3HY.

Registration

We ask everyone to sign up individually, so we can have an estimate of how many people want to attend. We will also check-in each person on Eventbrite as they join the event so make sure you've signed up to the event in order to attend!

Techscaler is a Scottish Government funded programme, delivered by CodeBase, and offers tailored support for everyone in Scotland who wants to build a startup, whether they are considering a career in startups or are developing, building and scaling an idea.

We offer Community and Member access to world-class education, a peer-led online and offline community, and flexible workspaces.

Techscaler membership is for any prospective or current startup founder, startup employees, or more broadly anyone who is involved in the Scottish tech ecosystem. Membership offers tailored support depending on your goals. When someone applies to become a Techscaler member, our team can direct applicants to the most suitable Techscaler support.
