Product Uplift Part 2: Sensing — Uncovering the Hidden Signals of Change

Most organisations already contain the signals of what is working, what is not, and what needs to change. The challenge is not a lack of information. In fact, there is usually far too much of it.

The real challenge is that the information is fragmented across conversations, teams, documents, systems, assumptions, politics, and lived experiences.

Each person sees only a small part of the picture. Leadership hears one story. Teams experience another.

Customers often encounter something different again.
Over time, these fragments accumulate into a gap between what the organisation says is happening and what people actually experience. We see the symptoms everywhere.

In the first webinar of this series, we introduced the concept of Product Uplift and explored why organisational coherence has become one of the defining challenges of modern leadership.

In this second session, we move from theory into practice.
Sensing is the first stage of the Product Uplift.

Before we redesign structures, introduce new frameworks, launch AI initiatives, or attempt to transform culture, we first need to develop the ability to see the organisation clearly.

Together, we will explore how organisations can surface the signals that are already present but often hidden in plain sight. Through facilitated conversations, interviews, systems thinking, organisational diagnostics, and emerging AI-assisted analysis techniques, we can begin to reveal patterns that are difficult to see when viewed from any single perspective.

This session will introduce practical approaches for uncovering what is really happening beneath the surface of an organisation and creating a shared understanding of reality from which meaningful change can emerge.

Whether you are a product leader, executive, coach, consultant, change practitioner, or transformation leader, this webinar will provide a new lens through which to understand organisational performance and a practical starting point for helping organisations adapt more effectively in an increasingly complex world.

Because before organisations can adapt together, they must first learn to see together.

We don't guess, muddle, or hope. We sense.

What You'll Learn

  • Why transformation efforts often fail before they truly begin
  • The difference between organisational narrative and organisational reality
  • How hidden tensions and assumptions consume capacity
  • Practical approaches to organisational sensing
  • How AI can help uncover patterns across large volumes of organisational data
  • The role of coherence in organisational performance and adaptability
  • How sensing forms the foundation for the remaining stages of Product Uplift

Questions We'll Explore

  • Why can’t we say no, when too much is added to the backlog, knowing this causes overload, burnout, and lower quality?
  • Why does it take so much effort to get seemingly simple decisions made, that are really just common sense?
  • Why does everyone know that some leadership decisions are going to cause so many more problems but we cant say anything about it?

Part 1 introduced the Product Uplift model and the challenge of organisational coherence.

Part 2 explores the first practical step: learning how to sense what is really happening inside the system.
