Prof. Matthias Samwald (MedUni Wien), one of very few people on the new EU AI Act's new scientific panel, and co-chair of the Safety & Security work behind the EU's Code of Practice for General-Purpose AI: the framework that every AI company must now build on. He leads the Accelerate Europe initiative, and his answer to the european capability gap has a name: aligned acceleration: speed and capability growing together with trust and coordination.
