Empowering Women in Cybersecurity 2026 is back — more community‑driven than ever. 💜

This year, our event is growing with new partners and organisations joining us. They’ll be sharing insights into their work, how you can get involved, and what kinds of opportunities they’re opening for future talent from internships to career pathways to volunteer roles.

We’re also expanding our hands on workshop selection, offering more practical sessions than ever before so you can build real skills, experiment with tools, and deepen your understanding of cybersecurity in action.

During the day, you’ll hear from leading experts on various interesting topics, all explained in a way that’s accessible, honest, and genuinely useful.

Burp Suite Basics: Hands-on Web Hacking 💻👩‍💻💾

Learn the basics of Burp Suite, the industry-standard tool for penetration testing web applications. The workshop focuses on building core Burp Suite skills in intercepting and manipulating web requests, fuzzing inputs, and extending its capabilities. These skills are practiced through hands-on exercises, providing a practical first step into web application hacking. No prior experience is required.

Requirements:
Laptop, internet connection (available at the venue), Burp Suite Community Edition installed

My Cyber Project -workshop / My Cyber Portfolio 📄💡✍️

The purpose of the workshop is to help participants, regardless of their prior experience, create their own cybersecurity project that they can showcase in a portfolio. Such projects can be valuable when applying for jobs or pursuing a career in cybersecurity.

A key message of the workshop is that everyone can find their own area of interest within cybersecurity, whether that is a technical, creative, or analytical topic. The goal is to encourage participants to explore aspects of cybersecurity that they find genuinely engaging and motivating.
During the workshop, participants will also have the opportunity to complete their own “My Cyber Project” worksheet, which they can take with them as a starting point for developing their idea further.

In consulting or in cyber, you may be tasked with working with or even presenting something you've never heard of before. Instead of panicking, you need to be able to perform.

In this workshop, we help you do just that - we go over what kind of situations you may be faced with, tips on how to approach a situation like this and finally, you get to put what you learned to the test. Our aim is for you to leave with a little bit more confidence in your ability to handle the unknown.
