Software Engineering Events in Katowice
This is the widest category on Brainberg, because software engineering itself spans a huge range of events: language user groups (Python, Rust, Go, TypeScript, Kotlin, Elixir, Ruby, Zig), framework communities (React, Svelte, Next.js, Vue, Laravel, Django, NixOS), backend architecture tracks, testing and QA tracks (ISTQB certification courses, mutation testing, test-automation workshops), refactoring and DDD circles, hackathons, and the long tail of "thoughtful engineering" meetups that don't fit neatly under any specific stack.
This page narrows the Katowice calendar to Software Engineering events. It's a subset of Poland's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.

Silesia JUG #111 - Java-First Spec-Driven Agentic Development on Steroids
Katowice, 🇵🇱 Poland
„Java-First Spec-Driven Agentic Development on Steroids”
Abstract: No-markdown spec-driven development: with opinionated Java, the spec is the code. The capability spec lives in the package documentation of each business component, every requirement becomes a parameterized test, and the build is the only oracle for "done." The result is lean code, traceable to a requirement. Each agent owns one business component and finds code by name instead of by search, which keeps the context small and the work token-efficient. Live-coded, end to end. Bring your skepticism.

16h45 - 17h30 Azure Arc w Adaptive Cloud: praktyczne podejście
17h30 - 17h45 Przerwa
18h30 - 19h00 Pizza i networking
O czym porozmawiamy?
1. Azure Arc w Adaptive Cloud: praktyczne podejście

Pokażę to w praktyce.

Technically Accessible, Actually Usable — A11y for 1M MAU in practise
Most Flutter developers have touched the Semantics widget at some point - usually to set a label on a custom button, or to mute a decorative image. The moment you hand your app to a real screen reader user, the gap between technically accessible and actually usable becomes clear: everything is read, nothing is broken, and yet some flows are, in practice, painful to get through. This is ~1 year a11y work on prod banking app - the kind of app where a visually impaired user has to move money, confirm a transfer, and recover from a validation error with confidence. We'll show the perspective of the people we’re actually building for: we’ve spoken with long-time screen reader users how they really use mobile apps, and we’ll bring their conclusions into the room - what is okay and what is a painpoint. We'll also show a set of concrete production cases - form errors and focus, reading order, status announcements, the `GestureDetector` trap, and a few more - each tied to the WCAG rule.

Title: The Next Generation of Forms: A Practical Guide to Angular Signal Forms
Let’s be honest, managing complex forms in Angular often feels like a constant battle against boilerplate. Between managing valueChanges subscriptions, manual change detection tweaks, and the complex code that handles custom validations, the developer overhead can be exhausting.
Enter Signal Forms. This talk is a practical roadmap for moving to the next generation of Angular development. We will explore the core mental model of Signal-based forms and see how they fundamentally change the way we handle user input. Starting with the basics, we’ll progressively build a high-complexity form, proving that you can write less code while achieving better performance and more predictable state.
Join me for a session packed with "aha!" moments as we bridge the gap between theoretical signals and practical form implementation. You will walk away with a clear understanding of the Signal Forms API and the confidence to implement cleaner, more maintainable forms in your next Angular project.
Key Takeaways:
Learn how Signal Forms actually work — the mental model, how form state is managed, and why it feels fundamentally different from reactive forms.
Go from a simple login form to a complex multi-component form using schema composition and hidden logic.
Write custom validators with validate and validateTree that cover the most common real-world scenarios.
About Fanis:
Fanis is a Google Developer Expert (GDE) for Angular and Senior Front-End Developer. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge through his YouTube channel, speaking at conferences and meetups, and technical articles. 🎤 George Oikonomopoulos
Title: Context Budgeting: How to Stop Wasting your Tokens
Large context windows make AI assistants powerful, but unoptimized prompts lead to high token costs, slower responses, and degraded outputs. In this session, you’ll learn simple, high-impact habits to keep Claude’s context window lean and hyper-efficient.
About George:
He is an Angular Expert at Mindwave and an Angular Instructor. With over a decade of Angular experience across various projects and teams, he's a dedicated contributor to the community, sharing his insights through articles, mentoring, and code contributions. He's also a member of the Angular Athens Meetup team.
🎤 Jakub Kubacki
Title: Build a workflow editor for AI agents in Angular
Every AI stack today needs a place to see and shape what agents actually do - which is why workflow editors are suddenly everywhere: n8n, Dify, LangGraph, a wave of agent builders. Most of them are built for the web at large; almost none for Angular teams. This talk shows how to build one yourself.
Using ngDiagram: an open-source Angular diagramming library - we go from an empty canvas to a working editor for agentic workflows: the common patterns you have to support (chaining, routing, parallelization, reflection, human-in-the-loop), a live demo of the finished editor, and then the code behind it - just a handful of components - to show how much leverage the library gives you.
You leave knowing how to start: the docs, the AI-assisted tooling, and the patterns worth stealing.
About Jakub:
Jakub Kubacki is a Principal Developer at Synergy Codes and the developer face of ngDiagram, an open-source Angular diagramming library. He builds node-based editors in Angular and has shown them hands-on at Warsaw IT Days, meet.js, Angular Warsaw and Wroclaw.
Expect inspiring talks, great conversations, and the friendly NG-KATO atmosphere you know and love.
