This is a one-day hackathon for software founders, and for anyone who wants to find out if they are one. You start at 10:00 with an idea and finish at 17:30 with a working product, real customer conversations and an investor pitch.

• Optional: a link to your working product, one pitch + demo video (up to 3 min), a landing page, and what you learned from talking to customers

You will be judged on (25% each):

• Problem & Customer: is the problem real, and did you validate it with real people?
• Product: did you build something that works and solves it?
• Business Potential: who pays, how big is the market, why now, why you?
• Team & Pitch: can your team execute, and can you pitch it clearly and handle tough questions?

The top 8 teams pitch live on stage: 2 min pitch, 3 min demo, 3 min Q&A. We cut you off when time is up.

Schedule for the day:

• 09:00 - 09:30: Arrivals, check-in, breakfast
• 09:30 - 10:00: Introduction and team forming
• 10:00: Building starts
• 11:30: Team lock-in
• 12:30: Lunch
• 17:30: Submission deadline
• 17:30 - 18:00: First round of judging
• 18:00 - 19:30: Top 8 pitches, prizes

WiTT's annual discussion among women tech entrepreneurs

The November meeting of Women in Telecoms & Technology (WiTT) celebrates women entrepreneurs in tech with a panel discussion among leading women who have founded, grown, and in some cases sold businesses in the tech sector. Our women entrepreneurs event is timed to take place in the week before Global Entrepreneurship Week, which runs from 16-22 November 2026.

Audrey Mandela, WiTT Chair and co-founder of Multimap.com, will chair the panel.
Our speakers will be announced closer to the date of the event.

Our panel will discuss their views and experiences, including:

• panelists' own challenges in starting and growing (and in some cases selling) their businesses;
• best and worst decisions made while building their businesses;
• whether panelists believe there are differences between male and female entrepreneurs, the types of businesses they start, their management styles, and their experiences of raising capital;
• views on scaling up businesses started in the UK; and

Startup Valley is a global event organizer hosting pitch nights in 25 cities since 2023. Since then, we have hosted 850 events for 40,000 attendees. • 18:00–18:30 — Registration: Guests register, receive badges, and event programs. This is an opportunity for casual networking, making first connections, and preparing for the event.
• 18:30–19:00 — Event Kickoff & Interactive Networking: Official welcome from the organizers with a brief overview of the event goals and schedule. Interactive networking session to connect with key contacts.
• 19:00–19:50 — Startup Pitch Session: Startups present their projects to investors and experts. Each team has 5 minutes to pitch, covering the project’s core idea, business model, and target market.
• 19:50–21:00 — Chill & Networking: Participants enjoy casual conversations with investors, discuss collaboration opportunities, and exchange ideas over refreshments.

Can I pitch?
Yes! To pitch, please purchase a Pitch Ticket and fill out the Pitch Application Form. We will contact you to discuss and approve your pitch. The pitch duration is 5 minutes. You will also have some time to answer questions from the audience.

How does the pitch go?
Selected founders present on stage to the audience and the investors in the room. You get 5 minutes to pitch your idea, business model, target market, and investment ask, followed by a short Q&A. The best startups are featured across our social media channels and in the investor newsletter.

Who will I meet?
Founders, angel investors, VC partners, venture scouts, AI experts, engineers, operators, marketing and sales experts, and international entrepreneurs from across Europe, Asia, and the US.

Do investors get free tickets?
Yes! Please apply via Luma (the link is in the event description) or email hello@startupvalley.club, and we will issue a complimentary ticket for you and your team.

Can I request a refund?
