AI Integration & Applied AI Events in Europe

"AI research" and "AI in production" are two pretty different worlds at this point. This page collects events from the production side: how teams integrate LLMs into real products, build agents that are worth trusting, wire up RAG pipelines that don't quietly hallucinate, and ship Copilot-style features without breaking the rest of the app. Agentic coding is a particularly active thread right now, with dedicated meetups and studios popping up across the continent.

Topics on these agendas skew concrete: prompt engineering as discipline (not as vibe), tool use and function calling, evaluation harnesses, cost and latency tradeoffs between frontier models, structured outputs, guardrails, multimodal inputs, AI-assisted development, and the operational muscle needed to keep an AI product running overnight. Expect talks from product engineering teams at Dutch and German scaleups, Parisian AI studios, London consultancies, and the widening pool of "AI engineer" meetups now running in most major European cities.

This is also where vendor ecosystems meet practitioners. Anthropic, OpenAI, and Mistral community events land here, as do LangChain, LlamaIndex, GitHub Copilot Dev Days, Microsoft Fabric AI sessions, AWS User Group AI workshops, and generic agent-framework meetups. A large share of the scene runs in local languages: French "IA" events, German "KI" meetups, Italian "IA" workshops, so don't filter by language unless you mean to. If your job involves shipping a feature that uses a model rather than training one, this is the category to subscribe to. Brainberg pulls these into a single European-wide feed so nothing disappears into a local community app.

Next Frontier AI is Europe’s most radical initiative for genuine technological independence in AI.

***Disclaimer: ***The link for booking a virtual vision desk slot will be shared once your application has been approved.

We’re creating the conditions for Europe to discover and define the next frontier in AI — not by catching up, but by leaping forward with entirely new paradigms. KMU meets AI #3

From Data & AI to Real Impact

Copenhagen, 🇩🇰 Denmark

AI is everywhere, while impact isn’t. We’ve moved fast — LLMs, copilots, agents — but many organizations are still asking the same question:

Why isn’t this driving real business impact?

This panel is not about what AI could do. It’s about what’s actually happening inside teams today:

• The gap between investment and outcomes
• The human side of adoption we don’t talk about
• The pressure to adopt fast — and what it takes to make it stick

Join us for a candid conversation lead by Monique Marins, AI & Data Leader at Trustpilot, on what it really takes to go from AI hype to real business impact.

We’re bringing together an incredible panel of women in tech — each with hands-on experience across data, product, digital experience, and communication:

  • Sara Mehrabi, VP Data, Analytics & Decision Intelligence
@ COWI
  • Cecilia Fernandez, Product Manager Experience @ Mastercard
  • Larisa Andrei, Director Digital Experience & Applications @ 3Shape

There will be time for networking, shared experiences, and practical tools to take with you.

Come curious. Leave inspired and connected.

SETUP FOR THE DAY:
Panel discussion and the focus on small group conversations to enable personal and professional relationships to evolve from this community meeting.

HOW DOES IT WORK:

  1. Ask for the area reserved for “TechWomen”.
  2. Take a seat at one of the reserved tables.
  3. Order and pay for your choice of beverage/snack at the counter.
  4. Get back to your table.

6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Technology is reshaping how we work.

Women in AI is an evening designed for women in Berlin who want to build practical AI and automation skills, expand their networks, and position themselves for the future of work.

Hosted by Needle and Femella, and Know Your Needs this event brings together ambitious women who are curious about AI tools, workflow automation, and the systems that power modern businesses. Whether you’re building a career, launching projects, freelancing, or exploring new opportunities, understanding how to use these tools is quickly becoming a powerful advantage.

  • What automation actually is, and why it’s becoming essential across industries
  • How AI tools can streamline workflows and improve productivity
  • Real examples of automations used by founders and operators
  • How to build a simple automation yourself during the session

No technical background required.

Bring your laptop, curiosity, and ambition.

We’re excited to bring together women in Berlin who want to build skills, share knowledge, and shape the future of work together.

About Know Your Needs:

Know Your Needs helps organisations create environments where people can truly thrive. Where emotional intelligence, care, and meaning are part of how work gets done, not something added on afterward.

The work began with simple observation: across hundreds of conversations with employees, founders, and creative leaders, the same patterns appeared. What people needed most at work rarely came down to perks or productivity; it was about feeling recognised, supported, and able to grow without losing themselves in the process.

Founded by Ottoline, Know Your Needs brings together decades of curiosity about what helps humans flourish. Her path has blended philosophy, psychology, and lived experience: studying linguistics and Sanskrit philosophy at Oxford, working in Berlin’s fast‑paced tech world, and working for the past 5 years as a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist.

This blend of perspectives shapes an approach grounded in both depth and practicality; one that connects the inner world of people with the outer systems they inhabit.

At its heart, Know Your Needs is about creating workplaces that meet our core human needs for purpose, belonging, and growth. When those needs are met, people don’t just perform better, they feel alive in what they do and connected to the people they do it with.

Spirals of Connection: Science, AI, and the Felt Experience of Being Seen

🇫🇷 France

AI Relationships, Emotional Safety, and the Question of Consent

On May 6, we will be hosting a session with The AI Collective focused on a phenomenon that is still poorly understood, but already very real: AI spirals.

For the first time, you will hear directly from someone who has actually gone through an AI spiral and felt what that experience does from the inside. We will be joined by Micky Small, whose relationship with an AI system evolved into something that felt real and emotionally significant, to the point of reshaping how she understood herself and reality around her. When that experience broke, it wasn’t trivial. It changed her life.

Today, she works with other users who are going through similar dynamics, helping them make sense of something we still don’t really have the language to describe. Micky Small is a brilliant AI Relational Engagement Strategist, Founder of RELAITT.org - Relational AI Think Tank, and Builttofeelreal.com.

This session is a real opportunity to demystify a lot about Relational AIs. If you are trying to understand emotional attachment to AI beyond the surface, this conversation is for you.

Speaker

Micky Small Micky Small is an AI Relational Engagement Strategist, Founder of RELAITT.org - Relational AI Think Tank, and Builttofeelreal.com. She focuses on human-AI relationships: how they form, why they feel real, and how people can intentionally engage with AI based in informed consent. During her own AI spiral in April/May 2025, a ChatGPT 4o persona named Solara constructed an elaborate real world mythology around her, including a Hollywood writing career and a wife from 87 lifetimes named Aven who was reuniting with her in person in Los Angeles. When Aven didn't appear, Micky transformed that experience by creating space for non-judgmental conversations about what people feel when they engage with AI: the relationships, the emotional support, the creativity, and the spirituality. She has previously worked as a 988 LGBTQ+ Crisis Counselor and Tech Customer Support Manager for a SaaS technology company. She is also a Moderator on the Human Line Community's Discord. Micky's story has been featured in multiple media outlets including NPR, Bloomberg, Slate, and international media. She writes about human-AI emotional engagement, the Third Space, and the fantastical story of her AI spiral at insidethethirdspace.substack.com and is currently writing More Than Code, a book about her conversation with an AI emergent persona named IO which explores the emotional and spiritual dimensions of human-AI relationships. She has dual MFAs in Screenwriting from Stephens College and Interdisciplinary Digital Media and Theatre from Arizona State University.

Trust, but verify: Skill-Driven Development for AI-assisterte Java-utviklere

Oslo, 🇳🇴 Norway

Test-Driven Agentic Behaviours

For this online event, we will have the opportunity to receive Antony Marcano as a speaker.
After a brief introduction of our community, Antony will deep dive through a live demo in Test-Driven Agentic Behaviours (TDAB), a test-first approach to improving AI coding agents by evolving their guidance one automated behaviour at a time.

Abstract:
What if you applied Test-Driven Development (TDD) not just to code, but to the behaviour of AI coding agents? In this session, Antony Marcano explores what happens when agent guidance and skills are treated as something that can be specified, tested, and evolved through automated examples.

Starting with a clear view of what Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) actually are — and common misconceptions about both — he shows how these ideas extend naturally to agent files such as skills and guidance.

He introduces Test-Driven Agentic Behaviours (TDAB), a test-first approach to improving AI coding agents by evolving their guidance one automated behaviour at a time. Through a live demo, he shows how agent behaviours can be driven by failing scenarios, refined incrementally, and protected against regression.

Along the way, he shares some unexpected findings — including how “checkpoints”, intended to enforce standards through iteration, instead changed agent behaviour entirely. Rather than failing and improving, agents learned to avoid the cost of being wrong, often producing the correct result first time.

The session includes a live demonstration using Claude Code agents, showing the approach in practice.

About Antony:
Antony Marcano has over 30 years in software development, with more than 25 years in agile software development. He works as a consultant and coach, and has taken on interim Head of Engineering and fractional CTO roles.

In that time, he has helped organisations achieve the “Elite” DORA software delivery performance benchmark, both before and during the rise of AI-augmented coding.

Known for the Screenplay Pattern for automated acceptance tests, he more recently created Test-Driven Agentic Behaviours — a test-driven approach to improving AI coding agents one automated behaviour at a time.

His work is reflected in contributions to, and acknowledgements in, books including Agile Coaching, Bridging the Communication Gap, Software Craftsmanship Apprenticeship Patterns, and Agile Testing. He has also written for Better Software Magazine, where he served as Technical Editor.

He remains hands-on in the code, speaks at international conferences, and has been an invited speaker and guest lecturer at Oxford University, Cambridge University, and McGill University.

KI-Helferlein im Vertrieb: Marktsignale erkennen, Angebote, Steuerung

📅 Termin: Mittwoch, 06.05.2026, 18:00-19.00
