Game Development Events in Berlin
European game development splits between two rhythms: the big annual anchor conferences (Gamescom and Devcom in Cologne, Reboot Develop in Dubrovnik, Nordic Game in Malmö, Develop:Brighton, Game Access in Brno, Game Connection Paris, FÍS Games Summit in Ireland, Slovenia Games Meetup) and the month-by-month community rhythm of engine-specific meetups (Godot Stammtisch, Unreal Engine sessions), GameDev meetups, playtest nights, game jams, and studio open evenings in the cities with working industries behind them.
This page narrows the Berlin calendar to Game Development events. It's a subset of Germany's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.
Berlin runs one of the densest tech-event calendars in Europe. The scene is distinctively community-driven: a large share of the city's meetups run in English, many of them out of independent spaces rather than corporate offices, and the rhythm is nightly rather than monthly. Rust, Go, Python, TypeScript, and the growing applied-AI community are all particularly strong, alongside deep traditions in hacker culture (the Chaos Computer Club's Berlin chapter), privacy, and open source.

July Mini Game Jam 2026 (starting 11:45 at UE)

How to prepare:
- Only people who are on the "Going" ("Nehmen teil") list here can visit the jam.
- Bring any equipment (or craft supplies) you need. We will have chairs, tables, electricity and internet, but nothing else.
Berlin Mini Game Jam is a relaxed 7 hour prototyping jam: After we have chosen a theme together, we form teams or go solo to make game graphics, concepts and prototypes on computers, phones, cardboard or physical space. At the end, we present the results to each other.

WHO THIS EVENT IS FOR
Anyone who is interested in making games is welcome! Really! Artists, game designers, musicians and sound designers, writers, coders, hobbyists, students and professionals. Any gender, any background, any level of experience.
Most people come alone and find a team at the jam, so don't worry about not knowing anybody yet.

Game Creators Hangout

We're gonna have another Game Creators Hangout!
The Hangout is a place where those who create games or are interested in it meet up and talk about whatever they like. Its a place for the community, but also to connect people from different communities. It does not matter whether you're a veteran game dev, just started school or just dabble in creating games in your free time - all of you are welcome here.
Accessibility: There is a small step at the entrance. Seating is available inside as well as outside. Some tables are only accessible via a few steps. For this evening, the bar is smoke free, but usually it is a smoker bar.

Es ist Zeit fĂĽr einen Game Creators Hangout!
Der Hangout ist ein Ort, an dem sich diejenigen, die Spiele machen oder daran interessiert sind, treffen und über alles sprechen, was sie möchten. Es ist ein Ort für die Community, aber es geht auch darum, Menschen aus verschiedenen Communities zu vernetzen. Es spielt keine Rolle, ob du ein*e erfahrene Spieleentwickler*Inn bist, gerade die Schule angefangen hast oder nur in deiner Freizeit gerne Spiele erstellst - alle sind hier willkommen.
Barrierefreiheit: Am Eingang der Bar befindet sich eine kleine Stufe. Es gibt Sitzmöglichkeiten drinnen und draussen. Einige der Tische und Stühle sind nur über 2 Treppenstufen erreichbar. Die bar ist an diesem Abend rauchfrei, aber normalerweise eine Raucherbar.
