In 2026, we have partnered with the fantastic makers and fixers over at TOG to bring a series of community Repair Cafes to various locations across Dublin. On Saturday, the 20th of June, between 2 and 6pm, TOG Hackerspace will host the second café of the year!

At this event, the skilled volunteers at TOG will share their expertise and passion for repair, helping you fix your broken items and breathe new life into them. Whether it’s a malfunctioning gadget, a piece of clothing in need of mending, or a household item that’s seen better days, bring it along and let the TOG team work their magic.

What can you bring in?

• Clothes and accessories
• Toys
• Small electrical appliances and electronics
• Small furniture

.... And many other things!

Safety testing (PAT) for electrical devices will be available.

What happens at a repair cafe?

Drop in to our regular Open Social for a great alternative Saturday evening. It's a great informal way to see the space and meet members and visitors.

If you’ve never been in before, we’ll give you the grand tour of the space. Talk to members and visitors about projects or things that you’d like to do. If you like what you see, ask about joining as a full member. Membership brings many benefits. Weather and volunteer permitting, we might have our wood fired pizza oven going outside!

Expect caint, ceol agus craic as usual. The space stays open until the last member is left……usually the small hours of Sunday morning. You can drop in for 10 minutes, or stay the whole night. We have lots of free parking available. Bring beer, food, gadgets!

Qui est la cible de cet évènement ?
Nous visons comme public des développeurs de tout niveau et tout domaines qui sont à la recherche d’un moment dans la semaine où ils sont libres de travailler sur les projets de leur choix.

Quand et où se déroule-t-il ?
Nous nous retrouvons les dimanches dans un lieu choisis par le groupe. Nous changeons rarement de lieu mais pour le moment, nous nous retrouvons à la gaieté lyrique dans le 3eme arrondissement

Pourquoi travailler à plusieurs ?
Nous pensons que travailler entouré de personnes motivées par les mêmes sujets dans une bonne ambiance permet de favoriser l’entraide et les initiatives.

This workshop series is a follow-up to the ESP32 Robotics workshop, but with a different concept. Here, there will be no subject set in advance, instead all participants are welcome to join at any point and at any level, from beginner to expert. Beginners will be guided though the basics (C programming, how to use measurement tools, soldering, PCB design, etc…) and can get advice on what tools and kits to start with, others can come with their own projects to get help or share some knowledge.

• Bring your own laptop (Windows, Linux or Mac)
• Any microcontroller/dev kit to develop your project(s). If you are a beginner and don’t know what to buy, come and we’ll find the best starter kit for you !
• A strong desire to learn stuff, good mood and some patience !

Après une longue période sans pouvoir accueillir du public, nous sommes heureux de vous annoncer la reprise des permanences hebdomadaires du Fablab dans un nouveau lieu. L'atelier du LAB ouvrira grand sa porte pour permettre aux membres de se rencontrer, partager leurs connaissances, échanger et surtout de réaliser des projets que l'on espère tous plus créatifs les uns que les autres !

Le nombre de personnes simultanément présentes dans les locaux sera limité à 10 personnes. Les inscriptions sur meetup sont donc recommandées (les inscrits seront prioritaires).

C’est une bonne occasion pour les curieux de venir découvrir ce que l'on peut faire dans un espace de fabrication numérique collaboratif, ouvert et communautaire comme le LAB.

Not a Splat Space member?
Well you are also welcome to join us, but unfortunately because of insurance limitation, you cannot use the equipment.

This course is necessary for new users of the Shopbot CNC at Bitraf to establish baseline knowledge & safety standards that everyone can expect from each other.

It will be held in English.

This course is fills up quickly - be the person that signs up and takes the opportunity to join a course seriously. If you don't turn up, you take away the opportunity to learn from someone else. Book the course time & date in your calendar, even if you're on the waiting list. It is very common to get bumped up as the course date/time approaches.

Signing up to the wait list means you take on the responsibility to check the event daily (even on the day of/hours before the event) and the possibility to turn up at short notice. If you know it's likely you won't have the time anymore, please change your RSVP to 'no' to remove yourself from the wait list as soon as you're aware.

This course is for paying Bitraf members only. It's a free course, but if you RSVP 'yes' and don't actually show up, you'll be fined 300 kroner, as an extra compensation to the course organizer.

• We zitten in het MAAKpunt van Stadkamer Centrum, geopend van 18:45 tot 20:55.

• Na afloop doen we vaak nog een drankje in de binnenstad (op loopafstand), voor wie wil.

A 7-day outdoor hacker camp taking place on the island of Funen, Denmark. The 11th BornHack — a participatory event where hackers, makers, and people with an interest in technology come together to share knowledge, have fun, and build things.

We meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 18:30 until late. Special topics and any special guests for each month will be posted here as the date approaches.

We are DIY makers, product designers, electronics hackers, artists, 3D printer builders, geek dads and their daughters - anybody from 9 to 99 doing "strange things with electricity"!

Our meetups are very informal; just sign up for the evening here and bring a project you've been working on if you like. We usually have most folks coming from Germany, but also people from the Netherlands and Belgium, thanks to Aachen's unique location, plus frequently other nationalities. If you speak German or English you'll be fine! Additionally, we upload reports on the meetups to our website (https://hci.rwth-aachen.de/amm).

We get together, bring out our projects, have some soft drinks and pizza, and start tinkering or chatting with each other. We offer free access to our Fab Lab Aachen (http://fablab-aachen.de) and its 3D printers, lasercutters, PCB mills, and electronics workshop (you just pay for materials). We do quick 20-min talk or interview slots if someone would like to share something with everybody (or ask for help!).

A non-profit camping festival for those with an inquisitive mind or an interest in making things. Held in a field in the English countryside, with talks, workshops, and installations covering everything from security to art, hardware to software, and science to politics.
