Hacker & Maker Events in Cork
This is the culture-heavy corner of the European tech event calendar: hackerspaces, community congresses, outdoor hacker camps, and the maker-faire circuit. It traces a lineage back to the Chaos Computer Club and has grown into one of Europe's most distinctive community-event traditions. Equivalents exist elsewhere in the world, but few are as long-running or as well-attended as the European ones.
This page narrows the Cork calendar to Hacker & Maker events. It's a subset of Ireland's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.

Maker Night - Work on 3D projects using laser cutter, 3D Printer at TOG
Cork, 🇮🇪 Ireland
Do you like to make things? Would you like to use 3D software, lasercutter and 3D printing to help you make your idea?
TOG has an open evening to learn how CAD software and 3D fabrication tools can help you make your project.
All you need to take part is your own laptop and some ideas on what you want to make.
This is not a taught class, more like an informal working group of self-directed makers.
We will be happy to help you explore how to use our 3D tools in designing and making your project whether you are a crafter, designer, engineer or hobbyist.
Come and have a look at the tools in our space and get some ideas on how your project can be made.

TOG Open Social
Cork, 🇮🇪 Ireland
Drop in to our regular Open Social for a great alternative Saturday evening. It's a great informal way to see the space and meet members and visitors.
If you’ve never been in before, we’ll give you the grand tour of the space. Talk to members and visitors about projects or things that you’d like to do. If you like what you see, ask about joining as a full member. Membership brings many benefits. Weather and volunteer permitting, we might have our wood fired pizza oven going outside!

Expect caint, ceol agus craic as usual. The space stays open until the last member is left……usually the small hours of Sunday morning. You can drop in for 10 minutes, or stay the whole night. We have lots of free parking available. Bring beer, food, gadgets!
