Teens 13–17: Learn to design and 3D print your own creations!

Step into the world of 3D printing! Teens ages 13–17 will learn the fundamentals of designing and printing their own 3D creations. Experiment with shapes, patterns, and objects, and bring your ideas to life with hands-on printing experience. A great way to combine creativity, technology, and problem-solving in a fun, practical workshop.

Join us for a relaxed informal Combat robotics meet up! Whether you are looking for ideas for how to build the next blender or you simply want to see if your bot is the best, come along and share your experiences and ideas and talk all things bots. Get the chance to test your bot in the CRNI arena and find out what your competitors are doing to make your bot victorious in a tournament in the future. Have an idea but don’t have the right tools? Use Farsets machines and bring your bot to life.

We currently have two arenas out at the meetup one non-destrictive and one destructive for 150g and 454g robots!

Autodesk Fusion setup and basics (English, Paid course)

This course is recommended for people with basic understanding of 3D design. However, this is a basics course, so everyone is welcome.

The course will be held in english, but you can ask questions in Norwegian.

The course requires a pre-payment of 300kr (dm for phone number).

The main focus of this basics course will be sketch creation and solid tools. I will start with general info about Fusion such as: best applications, differences between it and other 3d modeling software and limitations of this program.

If you have a specific idea in mind, you are welcome to ask any querstions related to it, as the course is designed to give you the best starting point for your purpouses.

It's better for you to create an autodesk account, as well as getting a personal fusion 360 license for this course. If you don't have one, the pages for personal license, and personal license renewal guide are listed below:

Bring your own laptop and make sure its compatible with fusion. If you're not a member or don't have access to the door, ring the doorbell whenever you arrive.

Payment can be done after the event, with cash or Vipps.

This is a in person event in the Makespace classroom, where we can work on projects, have access to the tools and equipment Makespace has to offer (some equipment is restricted to Makespace members), show off projects, chat about any issues with your build and get general advice about robotics.
Robot club is for beginners to pros, all you need is a love of robots. If you have a robot, please bring it along to work on or show.

.NET, IoT and Hedgehogs!

Using C# / .NET Technologies and IoT to curate and automate video footage of garden hedgehogs.

An experimental journey through device access, cloud storage, serverless functions, and a public website.

With an insight into problem-solving changes necessary to bring the code cross-platform to run on Linux on a Raspberry Pi.

The second Wednesday of every month is now a software and microelectronics social as well as our usual public open night - a great opportunity to muck about with like-minded hackers to discuss electronics projects, bounce ideas off each other for your latest coding challenge, or just to pop down and ask for some help getting started!

Everyone welcome - from beginners to advanced. Come talk to us about your home automation projects, bring your empty breadboard to be filled with ideas, or bring your stories of projects past. Ask for some help mastering a programming language - or find out you're the relative expert in the room, and offer others light instructionals* on the subject. Bring your Python, your JavaScript, your Go and your Rust - or regale us with C/C++ and 6502 Assembly. Your Robot Vacuum or your blinkenlights, your Raspberry Pi's, your Arduinos, your ESP32s..

fizzPOP has a well-stocked electronics room and some great spaces to crack out your laptop, so if you're not a member then this is a great time to pop down and check it out - and if you are a member, this is a great chance to get cracking with all the tools and equipment.

*we have some very helpful members, and welcome people of all skill levels - but this is not an organised event, we cannot commit to formal teaching, and we probably won't build your project for you (yes, people have asked)! This is a themed social event; please calibrate your expectations accordingly, and look forward to a great night!

Python is a very practical and useful programming language, both for beginners and experienced engineers. It is also very useful when developing hardware, both for implementing firmware (using MicroPython or CircuitPython), or as a language used on the PC for hardware testing and development tools.

This user-group is open to those that are using Python with hardware today, or those that are just curious and want to learn more.

- Informal Show & Tell
- Open chatting and hacking

If you want to get started with MicroPython, recommend bringing a laptop. You can borrow a suitable microcontroller, or borrow a ESP32 or RP2040/RP2350 device.

Let me know if you have something to share in the Show & Tell. Can be just a 2-5 minutes "I made X", and anything that is related to hardware and Python is welcomed!
