Join us for an evening of engineering discussions as Maxat Mansurov, Lead Java Developer at Tricentis, takes a practical deep dive into one of Java's most talked-about features.
Virtual threads are easy to start using, but understanding how they work—and when they actually improve performance—requires looking beneath the abstraction. In this session, we'll explore how virtual threads are implemented inside the JVM before diving into a real production case study from qTest.
You'll see how qTest's asynchronous background processing engine was redesigned using virtual threads, the challenges encountered, and the performance results that followed. Rather than hype, this talk focuses on the engineering trade-offs: where virtual threads shine, where they don't, and what you should consider before adopting them.

He enjoys sharing practical lessons from real production systems and learning from the engineering community.
