The Future of AI Observability

Rotterdam, 🇳🇱 Netherlands

Programma
17.30 uur - 18.45 uur: Inloop en eten
18.45 uur - 20.15 uur: Talk Arnold van Wijnbergen: The Future of AI Observability
20.15 uur - ..... : Napraten & Borrel

Talk Arnold van Wijnbergen – The Future of AI Observability
A few months ago at KubeCon, we saw a lot of interest and once again strong momentum around the next wave of AI. Everything seems to be accelerating with AI, particularly in the area of agentic AI. In short: AI agents. Who hasn’t heard about them by now, especially with widely discussed examples like OpenClaw?

Technological innovation like this is exciting, but it also introduces new challenges, especially in how we as humans interact with systems.

In this talk, we’ll explore how AI is impacting the field of observability. Why is it different from observing traditional applications? And what can we expect in the future, as autonomous AI agents become the standard?

We’ll discuss why observability plays a critical role in AI-driven systems and how to address the challenges that come with them. We’ll also explore the tooling landscape, including solutions like Langfuse, Arize AI and examine how OpenTelemetry can help provide deeper insights and better control over AI systems.

Of course, no talk is complete without practical examples. During the session, we’ll walk through when and how to apply proven recipes for success.

See you there, welcome to the future of AI observability!

AI4ALL Rotterdam Meetup Resilient by Design: Cruising Through Every Stage

Rotterdam, 🇳🇱 Netherlands

Get Your Ticket Here

The path to building a successful startup is rarely a straight line—it is a series of strategic pivots, high-pressure negotiations, and the relentless pursuit of a vision. This panel brings together four powerhouse perspectives from the front lines of the startup ecosystem to pull back the curtain on what it truly takes to build, scale, and exit a company. By bridging the gap between the "first check" and the "final acquisition," we will explore how female founders and investors are rewriting the rules of venture capital and proving that the future of innovation is gender-diverse.

Whether you are currently refining a pitch deck or preparing for a Series B, this session offers a rare 360-degree view of the entrepreneurial lifecycle. Our panelists—ranging from an early-stage investor seeking the next big idea to a founder who has successfully navigated a high-profile exit—will dive into the realities of raising capital, managing rapid growth, and the strategic mindset required to stay resilient in a volatile market. We aren't just discussing "how to start"; we are discussing how to win.

Join us for an evening of candid insights and tactical advice designed to move the needle for the next generation of women in tech. You will walk away with a deeper understanding of the investor-founder relationship, the grit required to scale through "growing pains," and the inspiration to turn your own ambitious vision into a market-leading reality.

Serendipity & Spring: An evening of unexpected magic

Rotterdam, 🇳🇱 Netherlands

010DEV is back for another great meetup on the 21st of May, bringing Rotterdam’s developer community together to connect, share ideas, and simply enjoy being among fellow builders again. Whether you're a familiar face or joining us for the first time, you can expect an evening filled with inspiration, curiosity, and good conversations.

A big thank you goes out to our host Transtrend for opening their doors to us in the heart of Rotterdam and making this evening possible. It’s always special to gather in a place where technology and craftsmanship come together so naturally.

We’re looking forward to two engaging sessions that each bring their own perspective and energy. In Tales of Serendipity in Software Development, Jasper Bogers explores how unexpected moments and happy accidents can play a meaningful role in the way we create software. Ties van de Ven will take us into Spring Magic Explained, where he unravels the elegance and power behind Spring in a way that is both insightful and enjoyable.
As always, there will be plenty of room to catch up, exchange ideas, and share a drink together. It promises to be one of those evenings where learning and fun go hand in hand.

Agenda
17:00 - Walk-in, welcome & dinner biter
18:00 - Tales of Serendipity in Software Development by Jasper Boger
19:00 - Spring Magic Explained by Ties van de Ven
20:00 - Drinks

Jasper Bogers - Tales of serendipity in software development

People are everywhere and that's the reason we develop software.
But where we excel at modelling problems and crafting solutions, we tend to feel less equipped in dealing with the dynamics of collaborating with these very people.

I am a techie which may shine through in my talk, but it mainly focuses on how people can create assumptions and expectations about situations and intentions which may lead to an unconstructive development culture.
I'll touch on some concepts and models like Cynefin, Situational Leadership and the Law of Parsimony and share some nuggets of wisdom and insights, tied together with analogies based on the ancient tale of the Three Princes of Serendip.

The goal is to enjoy the stories, and in the process developers and managers in the audience may learn a thing or two about connecting in a way that helps foster a serendipitous developer experience.

Ties van de Ven - Spring magic explained

Spring seems to do magical things:; add a dependency like actuator and you automatically get metrics, add @Transactional on a method and it automagically runs in a transaction. What if I tell you these things are not magical at all?

In this session we will address the core concepts Spring is built on. We will go into dependency injection, the ApplicationContext, bean loading and aspect- oriented programming (AOP). We will mostly focus on the concepts behind them and mental model you need to understand how Spring works. This way you will be able to apply it broadly (and even to other frameworks like Quarkus and Micronaut).

So if you would like a deeper understanding and a better mental model about how Spring works explained in a beginner friendly way, this is the talk for you.
