Finding a new job as an Engineering Manager is not just about updating your CV and sending applications. In this talk, I will share how I used Claude, an AI assistant, as a thinking partner throughout my job search.

I will show real examples of how I prepared for behavioral and system design interviews, how I used peer feedback to build honest and credible stories, and why warm introductions beat cold applications every time.

The talk is practical and honest: AI did not do the job search for me, but it made me significantly better prepared for every conversation that mattered.

Merendojo (Merienda + CodingDojo) es un evento gratuito organizado por la Devscola y el Hackerspace Valencia.
Durante el Merendojo, trabajamos en equipo para resolver pequeños ejercicios de programación (katas), normalmente en formato pair programming y usando prácticas como TDD (Test-Driven Development). La idea es aprender juntos, compartir conocimientos y disfrutar del proceso mientras merendamos.
No importa tu nivel de programación: puedes venir desde cero o con experiencia. Lo único importante son las ganas de aprender y participar 😊
👉 Importante: el evento está enfocado en practicar y aprender con ejercicios propuestos durante la sesión. No es un espacio para resolver problemas personales o proyectos propios, aunque estaremos encantados de charlar sobre ellos en otro momento.
Habrá algo de merendar y de beber. Si quieres, puedes traer algo para compartir (¡siempre es bienvenido!).
Si puedes traer un portátil, mejor. Si no, no pasa nada: puedes ponerte con alguien que tenga uno.

La inteligencia artificial está cambiando el trabajo, las decisiones y la forma en la que vivimos a una velocidad difícil de procesar.

Más allá de lo técnico, la pregunta real es: ¿cómo nos adaptamos sin perder claridad, dirección y criterio propio? ¿qué trabajos cambiarán? ¿seremos capaces a interactuar con las máquinas? ¿nos enamoraremos de ellas?

Todo esto parecía sacado de una película hace unos años, pero en cuestión de pocos meses todo ha cambiado, la IA está en casa sistema que utilizamos, está creando aplicaciones, hasta está creando otras IA. Películas como I Robot, HER, etc. están cada vez más cerca de convertirse en realidad

Esta primera sesión de Human Mode es un espacio reducido (máx. 10 personas) para tener una conversación honesta sobre lo que está ocurriendo y cómo nos está afectando.

No es una charla ni un evento técnico, no buscamos networking superficial.

Es un círculo guiado de 50 minutos donde exploraremos:

• cómo está impactando la IA en nuestro trabajo y decisiones
• dónde sentimos más incertidumbre o presión
• qué significa seguir siendo valioso en este nuevo contexto

La sesión seguirá una estructura simple:

• una pregunta inicial potente
• diálogo estructurado entre los participantes

They are often overlooked during computer science education - thus being an important lesson that many of us never had.
