LEAD Pulse Summit: The art of navigating uncertainty
About this event
LEAD PULSE SUMMIT Powered by ABB
What do you do when standard operating procedures no longer apply and the future defies every forecast? Biologically, our brains hate uncertainty. They register unpredictability as a threat, driving us into cognitive traps like overthinking, micromanagement, avoidance, or decision paralysis. Yet in today's business landscape, operating without a map isn't an anomaly - it's the new baseline.
This edition of LEAD Summit is a deep dive into the art of leading teams and organizations through uncharted territory. We will move from the neurobiology of fear and control, through hard-hitting crisis response tactics, to long-term operational transformation and adaptive navigation.
Join us to learn how to turn uncomfortable ambiguity into psychological flexibility, build deep trust without having all the answers, and lead with clarity - even when the horizon is covered in fog.
The event is specifically aimed at middle and senior level leaders - individuals seeking to enhance their competencies in the field of modern leadership.
Agenda Highlights:
1. Lightning Speeches
Aleksandra Biel - Your Brain Hates Uncertainty - The psychology of leading when the future is unpredictable.
Our brains are constantly trying to predict what happens next. But what happens when the world stops following the script?
In times of uncertainty, our natural need for predictability can lead us into psychological traps: overthinking, seeking control, avoiding difficult decisions, or imagining worst-case scenarios. Drawing on neuroscience and psychology, this session explores why uncertainty feels so uncomfortable, how it shapes our thinking and behavior, and what we can do about it.
Discover how psychological flexibility can help us navigate change, respond more effectively to challenges, and lead with confidence - even when we don't have all the answers.
Franciszek Bukowski - Leadership When the Map Ends
What if there is no map, no clear route and no certainty that today’s plan will still make sense tomorrow? From the age of exploration to a real-life transformation of Problem Management, this is a story about navigating uncertainty, changing course and helping a team keep moving when the way forward is anything but obvious.

In times of crisis and rapid change, leadership demands more than routine management. This session explores the core capabilities: decisive decision-making, clear communication, and authentic presence - that distinguish effective crisis leaders.
