About this event

A Fintech morning session exploring how fintechs can actually access public and soft funding in Denmark

Breakfast Briefing: Public Funding for Fintechs

Public and soft funding in Denmark is one of the least understood levers available to startups, not because it's hidden, but because the landscape is fragmented: big pots that open twice a year, smaller pools that open every other month, and rules that shift depending on your sector and stage.

Join us for a morning session with Steen Olesen, Partner at Canute by Thursday and his colleagues from their Growth Advisory Team, working and helping founders on exactly this, to unpack how the system actually works and how to put together an application that stands a real chance.

We will cover the structure of public funding, the types fintechs most commonly apply for, extra considerations for deep tech and other specialist verticals, and practical tips for a strong application followed by open Q&A.

Breakfast is on us.

What we'll cover:

  • The structure of public funding: the bigger pots that open twice a year vs. the smaller pools that open bi-monthly
  • Which soft/public funding types fintechs commonly apply for
  • Considerations for other verticals with additional funding pools available, that you might consider as a founder (e.g. quantum fintechs)
  • Tips for putting together a strong application
  • Open Q&A
