Applying AI Events in Gothenburg
"AI research" and "AI in production" are two pretty different worlds at this point. This page collects events from the production side: how teams integrate LLMs into real products, build agents that are worth trusting, wire up RAG pipelines that don't quietly hallucinate, and ship Copilot-style features without breaking the rest of the app. Agentic coding is a particularly active thread right now, with dedicated meetups and studios popping up across the continent.
This page narrows the Gothenburg calendar to Applying AI events. It's a subset of Sweden's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.

FinOps for AI: Cost per Task, Not Cost per Token
Gothenburg, 🇸🇪 Sweden

Your CFO asks if the AI spending is paying off. “I think so” won’t cut it.
Gartner expects 40% of agentic AI projects to be cancelled by 2027 because their return on investment can’t be defined. Most teams can see their token spend; far fewer can say which feature, team or customer caused it, or whether it paid off. This talk gives you a practical FinOps method for ML and GenAI on Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (formerly Vertex AI).
We start with the classic ML pipeline and what drives the bill. Then we move to GenAI, covering serving modes, caching, model routing, and controls that cap runaway cost. Next comes attribution: labeling every call and job, where labels fall short, and how eBPF observes traffic at the kernel level with no code changes. We finish with budgets, anomaly detection, and the team habits that make cost reviews stick.
You will leave with a shift in metric, from cost per token to cost per completed task, and five things to do on Monday.
Schedule:
- 17:30 - Doors open
- 18:00 - Talk + Q&A with Google Developer Expert Joshua Fox
- 19:00–21:00 - Food, drinks & mingling

OWASP Gothenburg: AI in Practice – From Developer Workflows to Cyber Defense
Gothenburg, 🇸🇪 Sweden
AI is changing the way we build software, automate workflows, and tackle complex problems. But beyond the hype, what does putting AI to work actually look like?
OWASP Gothenburg with our sponsor WirelessCar is invite you to an evening of practical AI insights, real-world experiments, and community-driven discussions! We'll explore how AI is being used to solve everyday engineering challenges, from building reliable AI-powered workflows and automating compliance processes to discovering vulnerabilities and rethinking cybersecurity in the age of AI.
Whether you're a developer, platform engineer, security professional, or simply curious about what AI can do beyond generating code, this is an opportunity to learn from hands-on experiences, exchange ideas, and connect with like-minded people in Gothenburg's tech community.
Agenda
Welcome & Introduction – WirelessCar
Jens Abrahamsson kicks off the evening with a short introduction to WirelessCar and shares a few thoughts on AI, innovation, and bringing the local tech community together.
Talk 1: Beyond the Prompt – Building AI Harnesses for Real-World Workflows
Edvin Norling – Platform Engineer, Kognic
Building something useful with AI takes more than a clever prompt. How do you turn a language model into a reliable tool that can handle real tasks?
Edvin takes us behind the scenes at Kognic, where they've developed an AI harness to support their ISO 27001 journey. He'll introduce the concept of AI harnesses, explain how they approached the architecture and implementation, and share how they've used evaluations to measure and improve results.
Whether you're experimenting with AI agents, building internal developer tools, or looking to automate complex workflows, this talk offers practical insights into making AI work beyond the proof-of-concept stage.
Talk 2: Cyber Defense in the Age of AI – When Vulnerability Discovery Scales
Dennis Dubrefjord – Application Security, Volvo Cars & Dubrefjord Consulting
What happens when AI can identify software vulnerabilities faster than humans can investigate and fix them?
Dennis explores how advances in AI are changing the cybersecurity landscape, drawing on his own experiments with AI-powered vulnerability discovery, including finding unpatched vulnerabilities in major open-source projects.
He'll discuss the opportunities and challenges that emerge when vulnerability identification becomes increasingly automated, what this means for software developers and security teams, and how we might need to rethink the way we build and maintain secure software.
Whether you write code, maintain open-source projects, or work in security, this talk offers a glimpse into a future where AI changes the rules of the game.
Break – Refreshments & Networking
Grab a drink, stretch your legs, and catch up with fellow developers, engineers, and security enthusiasts. We'll also collect questions for the upcoming panel discussion.
Panel Discussion & Open Mic: Building with AI – Opportunities, Challenges & What's Next
Featuring Jens Abrahamsson, Edvin Norling & Dennis Dubrefjord
Let's move beyond the presentations and have an open conversation about what it's actually like to build and work with AI today.
How do we make AI-powered tools reliable enough for production? Where do agents genuinely add value, and where do they create more complexity? How is AI changing the developer experience, and what happens when these capabilities are applied to security?
We'll explore these questions and more together with our speakers and the audience. Bring your own experiences, questions, successes, and failures. Whether you're already shipping AI-powered solutions or just getting started, we want to hear your perspective.

M365UG Göteborg - AI & Microsoft 365
Gothenburg, 🇸🇪 Sweden
We're back for the second M365UG Göteborg meetup!
After a great launch event in May, it's time to get the community together again for another evening of Microsoft 365, AI, real-world experiences, and plenty of time to meet and talk with others in the community.
This time we'll focus on putting AI into practice. We'll look at how AI and agents are changing the way we build Microsoft 365 solutions, from taking an idea and turning it into a working solution to improving testing, documentation, quality, and delivery.
Fellowmind is kindly hosting us for the evening at their Göteborg office.
Whether you're a developer, architect, consultant, IT professional, maker, or simply interested in Microsoft 365 and AI, you're very welcome to join us.

🎤 Better Projects, Fewer Compromises: AI in Practice
Martin Segelfeldt
With AI, documentation, testing, and reliable delivery no longer need to be the first things we sacrifice. Discover how testing and feedback help improve both our Microsoft 365 solutions and the way we use AI—making quality the standard, not the exception.
🎤 Agentic Development in Microsoft 365: From Idea to Working Solution
Nicolas Kheirallah
Follow the journey from initial requirements to a working solution deployed to Microsoft 365.
In this session, we explore how AI agents can help plan, build, test, and deliver a solution, using skills to guide their work and agent harnesses as well as agent orchestration to manage tools, context, and execution.
Along the way, we look at how to structure the work, review the results, and keep control of quality, security, and deployment.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level.
