đžđȘ Tech Events in Sweden
Sweden's tech-event calendar is anchored by Stockholm, one of Europe's strongest product, fintech, and games hubs, with meaningful scenes in Gothenburg (hardware, automotive) and Malmö (games and design). Active cities on Brainberg right now include Stockholm, Gothenburg, Lund, Malmö, NorrtÀlje, and Sundsvalls Gustav Adolf District. Brainberg aggregates listings from multiple event platforms and community calendars into a single European feed, so the full schedule for the country shows up in one chronological view instead of spread across separate platforms.

Tech Talk goes Almedalen!
Medverkande:- Marcus Weiland, Savantic
- Ellen Kugelberg, Momentum
- Anders Lööf, LBC Frakt
- Tony Edmundsson, BEVr

> Talk 1: Dennis Palmer - Live Coding a Nerves Robot with Livebook
Several years ago, Dennis started reading the book âArduino Robot Bonanzaâ by Gordon McComb. He had assumed that an Arduino was required to build robots like those described in the book, but has since discovered that a Raspberry Pi running Elixir via Nerves, along with Hex packages like Circuits.I2C could do much, if not all, the same things. Inspired by the Teachbot platform described by McComb, he designed and 3D printed Wobbles, a self-balancing 2-wheel robot powered by Nerves and programmed via Livebook. In this session, we will see a hands-on demo of using binary pattern matching in a GenServer to read the gyro/accelerometer data via I2C and control the motors to make Wobbles a little less wobbly.
> Talk 2: Raimo Niskanen - Do the List Shuffle
A deep dive into the list shuffling function `rand:shuffle/1`introduced in OTP 29, performance of investigated algorithms, hardship to find functional algorithms online, which algorithm that was chosen and why.

The Irreplaceable Series: The AI-Native Advantage
Stockholm, đžđȘ Sweden
đ Hej AI Club Nordic members!
It's been a while since our last meetup. We took some time out partly to support fellow AI organizers, and partly because the AI landscape has been moving so fast it's been genuinely difficult to cut through the noise and deliver sessions worth your time.
But the underlying infrastructure is finally stabilizing. Over the past few years, the core building blocks â MCP, Agentic AI, Reasoning Models, Multimodal Integration, and RAG â have matured from emerging ideas into a real foundation. The plumbing is in place, and the actual building can begin.
That said, keeping up with AI is a challenge for most professionals right now. The Stockholm tech calendar is busy, with events ranging from deeply academic to heavily commercial. At AI Club Nordics, we want to be something different: a genuine club. No sales pitches, no corporate agenda â just honest conversations, freedom to explore whatever tools and models interest you, and good company.
⥠Introducing: The Irreplaceable Series
We welcome you back to a 7-part summer masterclass series designed to give you the actual skills that make you invaluable in an automated world. Less slide deck fluff, more real-world execution.
To co-pilot this journey, we've brought on a stellar resident expert: John Tan, founder of nativefirst.ai. John is a seasoned operator who embeds inside scaling companies to take them past basic text generation and into the world of shipped, production-grade autonomous systems.
đŻ Session 1: Can AI Replace Experts at Work Today?
The question on everyone's mind isnât if AI is changing things, but whether it can actually replace human expertise right now. Weâre drawing the line in the sand.
- The Trend: The 3 Waves of AI. We will break down how AI has evolvedâfrom Wave 1 (basic text generation and ChatGPT tabs) to Wave 2 (workflows and tool assistance) and finally Wave 3 (fully autonomous agent systems). The reality? Most companies are still completely trapped in Wave 1. They bought subscriptions, but changed exactly zero workflows. We'll show you what happens when you cross over.
- The Action: How to 100x your personal output with agents. This isn't about working harder or typing faster prompts. We will show you how to move past the chat box!
đïž Event Details
- When: Tuesday, June 23th | 17:30 - 19:30
- Where: Embassy House, Södermalm, Stockholm
- The Vibe: Relaxed - all humans (and agents) are welcome to cool discussions on all things AI.
We'll be keeping the series going throughout the summer â no slowdown, even while half of Sweden is out recharging somewhere on an island. Like the technology we follow, we don't really have an off switch.
Whether you're a developer building products, a professional navigating what AI means for your role, or simply someone trying to make sense of where things stand right now â there's a seat at our table for you. Come grab a coffee or soda, hear how AI-native teams are actually working, and have real conversations with people who are figuring it out alongside you.
Spaces at Embassy House are limited.
Hit RSVP, bring your workflow bottlenecks, and let's launch with intent! đ

Figma in Gothenburg has previously been free to attend, and we want to keep the community open, welcoming, and accessible. However, free RSVP events often lead to a high number of no-shows, which makes it difficult to plan the room, snacks, seating, and overall event experience properly.
The âŹ18 ticket price helps us create a better and more reliable meetup for everyone who attends. It contributes toward snacks, drinks, venue-related costs, planning, and improving the overall quality of the event.
It also helps make each RSVP more intentional, so we can offer limited seats to people who are genuinely able to join.
