Novel approaches to both seem to be announced daily, such as making it possible to run the recently released 2.78 trillion parameter model Kimi K3 on a single CPU with 8GB of memory...!!! or Multiverse Computing's July 23 announcement that all their compressed models now run on Intel Xeon 6 Processors.

Abstract: As organizations race to deploy Generative AI, two challenges dominate: how to scale inference economically in the datacenter, and how to bring intelligence on the edge where connectivity, power and footprint are constrained. Abstract: The future of AI/ML capable CPUs will depend on architectures that balance computational performance, memory efficiency, and adaptability. To that end, it is essential that high multiply-accumulate (MAC) throughput enabled, supported by a well-balanced memory subsystem. Another key architectural guidance is figuring out which workloads should realisticly run on general-purpose cores and which should be delegated to specialized accelerators. Finally, supporting the correct dynamic range and numerical precision will be critical for striking the right balance between reliable application results and minimizing hardware costs."

- Johan Fondin, Solution Architect at HPE will give a talk titled "Out of the box KV-cache acceleration". Abstract: How do you increase the number of concurrent sessions on a GPU by a hundredfold, and 20x times faster as well? Learn how HPE solves this issue with their new KV-cache acceleration technology for AI platforms .

Most systems use some kind of shared libraries, but how do they actually work?
This talk will address the topic of shared libraries under linux.
How to use them, to create them and what actually happens behind the scenes.

Jean Frantz René: C++ Memory safety for safety-critical and non-safety critical applications.
Memory safety is a problem every team using C++ has to account for, not just the ones writing certified software. The defects are the same everywhere. What changes is the cost of failure once the code is in production. In one world a use-after-free could result in downtime, a security incident, or financial loss. In the other it can mean severe injury or loss of life. That difference shapes everything downstream: how much the language is constrained up front, how much evidence a team has to produce, and who has to be convinced.
This talk will give an overview of some of the major and types of memory safety errors in C++, how they arise in practice, and the prevention strategies available today. It will also provide a platform for reflection and open discussion.

Contract-first REST APIs with ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs

Most ASP.NET Core APIs treat OpenAPI as documentation generated from the implementation. That works well at first, but it can make the contract feel secondary: clients discover breaking changes late, API reviews happen after the code is written, and documentation can drift from what consumers expect.

In this session, we’ll look at a contract-first approach for building REST APIs with ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs, where the OpenAPI document becomes the source of truth rather than a by-product. We’ll explore what this changes in the development workflow, how strongly typed contracts can help keep implementation and specification aligned, and what trade-offs come with moving the API contract to the center of the design process.

We’ll also compare this approach with the more common code-first style in .NET.

Based on the experience of hundreds of customer projects Anders shares his recommendations for authentication and authorization with Asp.Net Core.

ASP.NET Core Authentication and Authorization - the Key Concepts
This is an introductory session that will show the basic concepts of Authentication and Authorization in Asp.Net Core and how they interact. Topics that are covered include:

Renato Golia
Renato Golia is a software architect and developer with a focus on .NET, cloud-based distributed systems, and infrastructure. He works day-to-day with ASP.NET Core, AWS, Azure, and Terraform, mostly on systems where API design, integrations, and operational concerns are tightly connected to the architecture.
He has also created and maintained several open-source projects for .NET developers, with over 12 million downloads on NuGet. His work spans API design, contract-driven development, and cloud architecture, with a recurring interest in keeping system boundaries explicit enough to evolve over time.

Anders Abel
Anders Abel is a senior .NET developer in Stockholm. He has been programming since he was 9 and still thinks it’s tremendously fun. When asked what he does for a living he often responds "building login buttons". Anders has extensive experience on Single Sign On and API security. His Saml2 library is trusted by millions of users world wide and he has deep expertise on OAuth and OpenID Connect from his work on Duende IdentityServer.

This is our first meetup after a lovely summer break, and we're bringing the community back together for an evening on building AI agents on AWS, from conversational agent orchestration to a practical dinner-planning agent.

Building multi-agent AI workflows usually requires complex state machines to handle unpredictable human delays. Building on the core concepts of AWS Lambda Durable Functions, this session dives into applied agent orchestration. We will coordinate Amazon Bedrock conversational agents with messaging APIs for inbound interactions. You will learn how to dispatch specialized AI agents, use callbacks to handle asynchronous human input natively, and build resilient, long-running chat architectures entirely in code.

Milan är en öppen standard för nätverksbaserat ljud, utvecklad för att skapa tillförlitliga och kompatibla lösningar för professionella ljudmiljöer. Standarden förändrar hur vi kan planera, bygga och distribuera ljudsystem där flera olika enheter och tillverkare behöver fungera tillsammans.

All of it happens within boundaries you define, using workflows written in Markdown and executed through GitHub Actions, turning your repository into something that actively works with you rather than waiting for input.

Johan Nordberg - GitHub Copilot App: The Next Step in Agentic Development
From autocomplete in the editor to chat, then agents in the IDE, then a TUI, Copilot now has a dedicated desktop GUI for agentic work. This session walks that path quickly and then stays on the Copilot app: start from issues and PRs, run isolated sessions on git worktrees, and land changes through the same review and merge flow you already use. We go into the concepts that actually change how you work, including slash commands for planning, PRs, checks, and orchestration. You leave knowing why the GitHub-native connection is the real edge, and which habits a modern developer needs when agents run in parallel.

Cecilia Wirén - From Prompting to Teaching: GitHub Copilot Agent Skills
GitHub Copilot is good at writing code, but it does not automatically know how you, your team, or your organization prefer to work. Agent Skills give you a way to package that knowledge into reusable capabilities that Copilot can use when needed.
But what should actually become a skill? Where should skills live? How do you share them between developers, repositories, and teams? And how do they relate to custom instructions, prompts, and agents?
We will also go beyond GitHub Copilot and look at the open Agent Skills standard, how skills can be reused across different AI assistants, and where you can find existing skills instead of building everything yourself.
