Lund AI Safety Hangout
Lund, đžđȘ Sweden
Hangout is a format without speakers or much preparation. Instead all the two hours are reserved for an open discussion and networking. It is good if you are curious to learn whether AI Safety is a thing or find collaborators/friends/networking.
Description for newbies:
Weâre living through something comparable to the Industrial Revolution â except this time, the machines donât just replace muscle, they try to replicate cognition.
This meetup is for people in Lund who want to calmly and seriously discuss AI safety: how advanced AI systems might impact society, work, power, and long-term human wellbeing â and what can be done to steer development in a beneficial direction.
The meetup is informal and discussion-based. Weâll talk about current AI systems, near-future risks, ethical questions, governance, and technical safety ideas â always with an emphasis on critical thinking rather than hype or fear.
You donât need to be an AI expert. Students, researchers, professionals, and curious non-technical people are all welcome. If youâre interested in understanding AI beyond headlines â and want to think together with others â this meetup is for you. Fun and nice atmosphere included.

Talk Abstracts
10 Million Transactions, Zero Locks: Delivering High-Fidelity Business Analytics with ClojureâHakan Cinar
In the modern data landscape, the bottleneck is rarely the library, but the language's ability to utilize hardware. While Python is the de facto standard for data exploration via C-extensions like Polars, it often hits a "performance ceiling" when business logic requires custom, multi-core transformations. This presentation demonstrates a comparative benchmark of Market Basket Analysis on 10 million retail transactions across 25 categories and 850,000 distinct customers.
We analyse the architectural trade-offs between Pythonâs imperative, object-heavy approach and Clojureâs functional, immutable-by-default paradigm. By visualizing a real-time Association Web and tracking CPU/RAM utilization, we show how Clojureâs structural sharing and JVM-native concurrency provide a more robust foundation for production-grade data pipelines. Attendees will see first-hand how Clojure eliminates the "GIL tax" and transforms massive datasets into actionable insights with lower memory overhead and greater systemic reliability.
Convincing Friends and Foes: Introducing Clojure at Large and Small OrganisationsâBilly J. Beltran
Are you struggling with spreading the gospel at your company? Can't convince your co-workers that '(1 2 3 4) is actually a very reasonable way of describing a sequence of things? I will explain how and why people sometimes react negatively to new technologies,
and how to convince them Clojure is actually a programmer's best friend with examples from small and large organisations.
Food Beverages and light food will be served. You will be asked about your dietary preferences when you sign up, and we'll do our best to accommodate everyone.

OpenClaw Lab Meetup
Stockholm, đžđȘ Sweden
đ If you want to be considered for this first session, you need to sign up here within the next 48 hours: https://openclawlabsthlm.lovable.app
Everywhere I look â YouTube, Instagram, itâs OpenClaw, AI agents, automation⊠and honestly, itâs stressing me out a little đ
I donât have time to sit alone for hours trying to figure all of this out. So instead, I want to pull together a small group of curious, driven people who feel the same way.
The idea is simple: we meet up, combine our brains, test things live, set up a few agents, and actually learn by doing. No fluff, no endless theory, just hands-on building and figuring it out together.
This isnât meant to become a big community or a long-term thing. Think of it more like a startup group, a small crew of people willing to contribute, do their share of the research, and help each other get up and running fast.
Once we are on our feet⊠we might shut this group down.
If youâve been feeling like âeveryoneâs talking about OpenClaw and I donât want to be left behindâ â youâre exactly who this is for.

Welcome to the next meetup of .NET SkÄne!
This time we have the pleasure of inviting you to Elva11 in Malmö for yet another inspiring evening!
IMPORTANT: If you have signed up to the event but can't make for some reason please cancel your spot in good time before the event so the spot is free for someone else to attend.
Agenda:
What I think about when I think about identity
(Fredrik Mörk)
Who are you, really? Now, this may be one of the large questions in life, and not an easy one to answer. You may not get all the answers in this session, but what you will get is a run through of good things to think about when dealing with identity and users in single-sign on environments. In a mix of theoretical and hands-on examples I will share learnings from implementing single-sign on systems serving multiple services.
Rethinking AI in software development
(Aisha Kujovic)
AI is becoming part of everyday development, but 74% of organizations cite security as their biggest concern, and most AI usage already happens outside of IT control.
In this talk, Aisha shares lessons from building Noorlytics and explores what secure AI looks like in practice when you run models locally. When does it work, where does it fall short, and what does it actually mean for real development teams?
TBA
About the speakers:
Fredrik Mörk
Fredrik is a software architect thriving in the borderland between software-, product- and business development. He has written code in Visual Basic. The non .NET kind. Yes, he is that old. He is an occasional conference speaker (DevSum, Ăredev and user groups in Sweden and Norway, among others), and a photographer.
Aisha Kujovic
Aisha is a software engineer, team lead, and founder of Noorlytics AI Tech. She builds developer tools that use AI to analyze code, surface technical debt, and identify risky dependencies, without sending code to external services. Her work challenges the default âjust use cloud AIâ approach, exploring what happens when you run AI locally instead: what you gain, what you lose, and what actually works in real development environments.
TBA
Host:
ELVA11 was founded with a bold idea. To prove that people, culture, and values can scale just as fast as technology. We are a software and AI company with global ambitions â delivering world-class innovation while building a culture that dares to be different.

đ SPEAKER INTRODUCTION
Dr. Michael Green builds AI systems designed to make decisions under uncertainty, using Bayesian machine learning and probabilistic AIâbecause real-world environments rarely provide perfect information. Models that fail to account for uncertainty often become fragile when deployed in complex settings.
He is the founder of two Copenhagen-based AI companies applying these principles where decision-making truly matters: Alviss AI and AI Alpha Lab.
Alviss AI is a marketing science platform that helps organizations optimize advertising, media investments, and growth through a combination of probabilistic modeling and modern machine learning.
AI Alpha Lab is a research-driven initiative focused on financial markets and systematic investing, leveraging probabilistic AI and quantitative methods. Their AI-driven fund, trading on Nasdaq, has achieved performance surpassing many index funds.
Michael is also a strong advocate for digital and AI sovereignty, with a focus on strengthening EU-driven AI ecosystemsâa topic he will also touch upon.
đŁïžTALK DESCRIPTION
At the upcoming Barrel AI event, Michael will take a deep dive into the technical architecture behind his systems, exploring how uncertainty-first and physics-inspired neural networks are applied in high-stakes environments.
Financial markets are unforgivingâthere are no second chances, no re-runs with a different random seed. In his talk he will tell the story of building the model that now runs AI Alpha Labâs fund, and the hard lessons learned along the way.
It starts, as these things often do, with 36 million going up in smoke đ„đž.
